What did Pearl Jam say? Besides rocking out to the music, we enjoy the between-songs banter between the band and us. It gives us that "we're all in it together" feeling. Thank you for sharing and sending in your favorite Echoes.

during Not For You:
Eddie: "If you catch me missin' a lyric or something...if you catch me makin' a mistake, it's not because I forgot it. It's just sometimes I got like, a lot on my mind. Like just now when we were doin' that last verse I was thinkin' - I hope these people know that this song isn't about them. I would just hate to be misunderstood. [cheers]"
before Red Mosquito:
"There's a song called Song X..a record called Mirrorball...you hear that one? There is a song called Song X...this is its baby brother. It's called Red Mosquito."
before Black:
"Hey ahh....just want you to know..I can see most of you all down here. I don't think we've played this place-I don't think we've been here before [he's right]... so forgive us we've been kinda........see everybody ....hey, huh?....looks like some of you people are on grass...no, not you! - them, out there [pointing to fans on the lawn] okay, I don't think we've played this at any of the shows yet-so,we'll play it now. [Black]"
before Habit:
"alright....this is part two of the show"
during Habit:
"speaking as somebody standing in complete darkness"
before SOLAT:
"here's another one we haven't pulled out in a long, long time-we'll see how it goes."
before Blood:
"From up here, from up here.....hey hey...none of that [to the crowd chanting Ed-die, Ed-die]....if you guys could see what it looked like from up here...it's just crazy...you guys are crazy...I was talking with the woman who sang in the middle for the Fastbacks...we were talkin' the other night and we were talkin' about how we remember going to shows like this and just the feelin' that we had and that we're...to be part of that feelin' and to be up here...we're just glad to be part of that whole feelin'....it's just crazy....I, I don't...I've been thinkin about it the last few days...it's just crazy...you guys are really-nice, thanks a lot, thanks for listening to our music, thanks for everything."
before Daughter:
"Tomorrow is a day off - so we're just gonna keep playin'" [cheers]
before Mankind:
Stone: "You guys want to hear me sing one?"
Eddie: "This is Stone"
Stone: "No you don't!"
[the crowd wins]
before Leaving Here:
"Well..I guess we could take a minute and figure out a couple more, or we could play this last one - you seem pretty comfortable, but we don't want to keep you. [crowd protests] Okay, actually, for right now, this is the last one, so have a good time. It's called Leaving Here."
Before Wash:
Eddie: "Thanks a lot...we'll see you next year. I think I can remember all of you...we'll see you."
- long pause -
Stone: "This next song is a little bit of a tribute to the weather. I don't think it rained out there tonight, but maybe it did. Did it rain?
Eddie: "Okay, Keith you can just leave the lights on for these last two. Some people are holding up signs for super rare songs. This is the one for tonight. This is...now I can't remember it. Some of you might not know it...the people that heard of us first, they know it. So, this...it's this." [Wash]
After Yellow Ledbetter:
"The front, the back, the sides, the middle - thank you all very much...good night - thanks a lot."
