November 21 Barcelona '96 show

I'm sure it's too late but... now I've got time... I'm reading PJ sites and
the fanviews of the shows are really great! As everything's been said about
the band's show in Barcelona (11/21/96) I would just write some feelings I
had before, during and after the show. So this is what I thought about it.
Before.
PJ is one my 5 favourite bands ever (with the Stones, the Beatles, The
Cult, and another one -it depends on the moment-). This is going to be the
first time I'm gonna see them. Can't wait for it. My girlfriend doesn't
like them, but I'll invite her to the show just for her to say sorry. My
friend Marc, from Sony Spain, has some records of mine for them to sign.
During the show.
PJ are about to go onto the stage. I've seen hundreds of shows 'but I'm
really nervous today. It's gonna be incredible. Hail Hail, my favourite of
No Code. Animal, my favourite PJ song, it's the 4th of the show (How much I
hated the song the first 5 times I listened to it). Corduroy, Better
Man, Off He Goes. No words to describe this. My girlfriend is really
impressed. Good! Even Flow, Jeremy, Daughter. Is this for real or am I in
heaven? Rearviewmirror & Alive (it's impossible to be more intense).
Inmortality: best ballad of the night (where was Nothingman?) Once. Great
surprise! State of Love and Trust! Can't believe it! Even the audience has
shown the respect this band deserves. My girlfriend doen't want to say it
but she admits PJ are great, terrific. She understands my love for the
band. (but she goes on saying this music is not her kind). Ok. I win. I'll
never forget that night.
7 months after.
After that, not a show (except probably Beck and Jon Spencer Blues
Explosion shows) can compare. I still think that was -again, probably- the
show of my life.
Thanks, boys.
