November 9 Zurich show review
by: Joe Kiervin, Oakville, Ont. Canada
While backpacking in Europe, I saw Pearl Jam for the first time ever and
was blown away by the show. The evening was enhanced in every sense due
to the heightened frame of mind I was in when Pearl Jam exploded onstage
with "Animal."
The show was long (25 or 26 songs) but could have gone on
forever and the crowd would have stayed and loved every second. Probably
the best aspect of the concert was the minimal crowd (around 6,000) at the
Hallenstadion. I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and would have been
stuck with 20,000 other fans at Maple Leaf Gardens if I had seen PJ at
home. Instead, we were free to range all over the stadium due to the
general admission policy in effect.
Most notable songs were: Jeremy,
Black, Better Man, Lukin, I Got Id, Animal, Daughter (w. Fade to Black),
and State Of Love and Trust. Well, that's all, I'm heading to Australia
on Jan. 26 to stay in Sydney until Christmas and am looking forward to a
PJ tour Down Under!
Save Pearl Jam!
