Where do I begin? I just got home from the show and wanted to be the first to write in and share my night with the world. These guys know how to treat their fans, and their club members. I was lucky enough to score row six, center stage, via the fan club and couldn't believe my vantage point. This was only the second or third show they've ever played in Minneapolis, a first for me, and they were in top form.

They opened casually with Sometimes, then cranked into Last Exit, Brain of J, and Hail Hail. Then they did Faithful and had the crowd singing along. From there it was Even Flow, Corduroy, I Got Shit, Pilate, Daughter, MFC, and Lukin.

After all these jammin' songs, the mirror ball was lowered for Wishlist. This was very cool seeing the lights circle the Target Center crowd. Then it was Stone's turn to sing Mankind. He did a fine job, judging from the cheers. But Stone ran into some trouble as he began All Those Yesterdays. His guitar was f&*#ed up and band took a small break while he and some set guys fumbled around the amps to fix the problem. This got the crowd in a frenzy, and the decibel level reached a deafening peak. Eddie and the band couldn't believe the noise while they waited for Stone to get ready. Eddie commented, "I'd like to see how loud it will get in here when you guys win the finals". He was referring the the T-Wolves of course. Finally, they got the problem fixed and did All Those Yesterdays. The set ended with the Ten hit's Black and Alive. WOW.

About five minutes later they were right back out for the encore. This started with Do the Evolution and Given to Fly. Then it was a b-side, Leatherman which was cool. There were so many tunes I wanted to hear and time was running out. Well, next came Better Man. The crowd began singing the intro but somehow everyone was on the wrong verse. Eddie thought this was pretty funny and got everyone back on track. I thought that was going to be it but they did one of my favorite non album songs - Leaving Here. Again I thought the set would end but they quietly started playing The Who's - My Generation. After one or two verses, Eddie began changing the lyrics. We soon figured out that they were leading into Porch. The guys were all ripping up the song through the final note to finish the set. The house lights stayed dark as they left the stage and everyone was chanting for a second encore. But soon the lights came on and the show was complete. I had to stand there for a minute to reflect on what I just endured. I counted 24 songs in all and it was a concert I'll never forget. Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of the summer's shows.

God bless Ten Club.

I had never been to a Pearl Jam show before. I have been waiting to see one since I was a sophomore in high school, six years ago. We are finally in the same place at the same time, and thanks to Ten Club my seats are in the freakin' SEVENTH ROW! It was incredible. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.

The whole show was dedicated to Frank Black, who opened for the last time on the tour. Last Exit seemed kind of slow, but the really started rocking during Brian of J and Hail Hail. During "J", Ed made the time-out sign to a roadie, I thought he wanted to stop the song but he just wanted some more tea. The crowd was incredibly enthusiastic, every time Ed wanted to say something they would drown him out. He encouraged the band to keep on playing after Daughter, and after Noise of Carpet he did some sort of vocal exercise, raising and lowering his hands while he raised and lowered the pitch of his voice. Someone a few rows ahead of me had a sign requesting Mankind, and before they played it Ed pointed and said, "this one's for you, fucker." Then right at the start of "Yesterdays," Stone's guitar broke, and we were all "just hangin'" for a few minutes, during which the house lights came on and the crowd roared. They played the most beautiful version of Black I've ever heard. Leatherman was a surprise, as was My Generation which led into a cool bluesy intro to Porch.

Ed said that the whole tour so far he was concentrating on Chicago (the night before). But this show was a big pleasant surprise to them. I thought they might be a little burned out after Chicago, but Ed's voice was in top form, and Mike was amazing.
