This was my first PJ concert and I like to consider myself their biggest
fan. I had waited about 5 years for this concert and they didn't
disappoint.
They started out slow with Oceans, but then hit some faster tunes-- Hail
Hail, Brain of J, and Spin the Black Circle. From there they went into
Tremor Christ and then Given to Fly.
After Given To Fly, they did In Hiding, which was a big surprise to
everyone. After that they rocked Riverport with Corduroy, MFC, Wishlist,
and Nothingman. I thought that Nothingman was the best song of the night.
They played it with so much emotion and the crowd really got into it. I
have never heard a better version and probably never will.
After Nothingman, Eddie picked up cigarette and talked about college and
habits. From there they went into Habit. After Habit came the best part of
the concert as they performed Even Flow, Daughter, Immortality( which was
awesome), Black, and then ended their long first set with Alive.
After about five minutes, they came back out and Eddie picked up a
Cardinals helmet and started talking about how the Cardinal Logo has
evolved and they went into an awesome version of Do The Evolution. From
there they played the crowd favorite and maybe their most famous song,
Jeremy. They played it with so much emotion and gave it more meaning than
ever before. After Jeremy, they played an awesome version of I Got Shit and
Better Man/Save It For Later and ended their first encore with what Eddie
called a sing along, Fuckin' Up. After Fuckin' Up Matt threw his sticks
into the crowd and a few stupid people started leaving, but all of the
faithful stayed around, knowing that Yellow Ledbetter was yet to come; and
sure enough out they came and they played Yellow Ledbetter. After this
everyone knew it was all over.
Although they didn't play my favorite songs of Rearviewmirror, State Of
Love And Trust, and Crazy Mary, this was a concert I will never forget.
Pearl Jam once again showed all of us why we love them so much. Everyone
was their for one purpose, to hear the greatest band of all time do their
thing, and they didn't disappoint.

This was the best show i have ever been to. I am one of the biggest PJ fans ever and this being my first time ever seeing them i was totally stoked. They opened with Oceans which was a complete shock to me, but don't get me wrong it was a great opening to a great night of music.
They played all of their great tunes. They totally rocked on Spin the Black Circle, and when they jammed out on Immortality, the place just went nuts. After they left the stage for the first time to take a break everyone in the whole was chanting, "EDDIE, EDDIE" (which i started). It was unbelievable. When they played Better Man, the whole crowd was singing along(not like we weren't for every other song as well) and we just rocked the night away.
To close they played a Neil Young song, I think it was called Fucking Up, or something, they just jammed on that for a while. When they were done with that they left and everyone starting chanting again. They came back out after about a 3 minute break and Eddie said "Lets turn the lights on, I want to see some lights" and they turned on all the lights in the place. Then came the ever famous first cords to Yellow Ledbetter and the whole place just went nuts. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone play with the pavilion lights on, it was just amazing. I would do anything to get a chance to see them again. It was an awesome show.
Quori@aol.com Hey I was on the lawn but had a pretty good look at the stage. Pearl Jam just gives it all for their fans. Started out with Oceans- it was so cool because Oceans just starts out with the chord and ED singing first beat, just right off: "Hold on, to the thread..." Perfect opener. Anyway the set list is on the page but here's some stuff he said in between. After Wishlist: "That's a song about...a list like you know, when you go to the grocery store..."(cheering screaming) "and you've got.......broccoli," (More screaming) "paper towels, well that's just a list I...you know wouldn't it be great if there was a store that you could go into....and you could just pay a little money to change the world...like you'd have to do just a little bit...but there's a lot of fuckin' rich people that it could happen...." (wild cheering) anyway this next song is about a man who couldn't save the world...he...he couldn't even fix his own life....it's called Nothingman." After in hiding: "You know St. Louis is kind of in hiding...from New York, L.A, Chicago..." and Ed was really set on thanking the entire audience...he wanted to make sure we knew we were appreciated and he said "I want to thank the audience from here to here (left to right) and here to back there (front to back) and he did this twice. Read the other fanview for his evolution talk. It was a really moving show all in all- PJ lived up to my very high expectations.
