First I want to thank Stone, Jeff, Mike, Jack, Matt and Ed for the best night of my life so far. I was lucky enough to be at the East Lansing concert last Tuesday. This time with second row tickets thanks to the fan club. :) Being that close was great!

A lot of the other fanviews have covered the set so I won't spent too much time on it. I will say though that the set was great. I thought there was a nice mix of music, and the guys were tight with all of it. I was happy to hear Wishlist and Brain of J, my two favorites from Yield, and Black, my all time favorite Pearl Jam song. My very favorite song of the night though was Soldier of Love because I was the lucky girl who went up on stage. :)

I am still in shock from the whole thing and still telling everyone I see about it. Never in my life did I think I would ever end up on stage with Pearl Jam. All night the people in the front row had been getting stuff like Ed's guitar pick. Then the guy (Jay, I think) in the Michigan shirt went on stage. I was thinking to myself how lucky he was. Then Ed sent him back and pointed at me.

I pointed back at myself, thinking me? He pointed back and said 'Come up here sweetie.' There was no stopping me after that. The security guard lifted me up on stage. I was right next to Stone so I shook his hand and said hello. Then I walked over to Ed and he told me to sit down. I asked him if he could say hello to my tape recorder for me. He did. :) I will tell you he said hello and did not give any big secrets away. More than that, I guess for now you have to have been there with me that night. I waved to Mike, Jeff and Matt while I was up there and the audience too.

Ed handed me his lyric book to hold for him while he sang. I was honored just to hold the book because I know how important it is to him. Then he started singing. Towards the end of the song, he had me stand up and we started dancing. He was still singing so I sang too! At the end of the song he gave me a hug. I was pretty happy with that. :) I asked him if I could go backstage. I could not give up a once in a lifetime opportunity. How incredible it would have been to meet and talk to the people who make the amazing music that is Pearl Jam. But it was not to be. I definitely have no complaints though. I could not have asked for anything more. Ed gave me the set list with Soldier of Love written on it and his bandana. It smelled nice. ;) After that I was pretty much in a daze for the rest of the night. My friends and I listened to the tape and just kept saying I can't believe that just happened!

Thanks again guys for a wonderful night! It is one that my grandchildren will hear about many times. Oh, and if you need an accountant, I graduate from Notre Dame in May. :)

BTW, if anyone has pictures or video of me on stage, could you e-mail me? I would appreciate it.

Amanda
