I have to say that this is the best Pearl Jam concert I've ever seen. The guys were just so intense. There are no words to explain it- amazing. This was the best night of my life. Why? I am living proof that it WAS NOT a "stupid rumor" that Eddie was skateboarding in the parking lot before the show. My friend and I spotted him, walked up to him and he shook my hand. I told him it was really nice to meet him and he looked right into my eyes and said, "thank you". By then a big group of people had surrounded us. Everyone was talking to him and taking pictures. Ed was so awesome. He was everything I thought he'd be. He was just so nice and totally not bothered by us. He was genuinely interested in talking to us. I even asked if I could have one of his rubber bands and he pulled them out and let me see the messages and numbers on each one (he said if he didn't have important things on them he would have).

Then Ed asked if we had any requests (remember when he said, "you guys got to pick songs earlier, now it's my turn" and then went into "do the evolution"?). I asked him to play "footsteps"(my favorite pj song) and once again he looked into my eyes and repeated the song and nodded. You can't imagine how happy I was when the intro to "footsteps" started. I couldn't believe he actually did it! Obviously, that was my favorite song of the whole show. And yes, he did spill beer on his board and he licked it off and then his face broke into this huge smile. Ed was just so great. Truly nice. Still don't believe me? He had a Detroit Tigers helmet on, a black, long-sleeved shirt, black shoes, and shorts. His fingernails were painted a gray-ish silver. A rumor it was not.

Thanks to Pearl Jam, the Ten Club, and Eddie for the best night of my life. Oh- if anyone was in the parking lot that night w/Ed, and got pictures of him, I would be forever grateful to you if you would e-mail me. I would love to get a copy, we can work the details out. Thank you!!!
