Ah what can top the feeling of looking into Ed's eyes and shaking his hand in the wee hours this morning at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill?...maybe.....seeing him host a fabulous sold out concert at Walnut Creek tonight?....perfection in the Triangle. I have to start this off with Mudhoney in Chapel Hill at the Cat's Cradle last night, which was a dream treat, so fine. In the company of Mudhoney fans, some of which were Pearl Jam fans, we stood at the stage, with me, just right of center listening to the dynamic sounds of Roaring Mudhoney. Artful screamin' Matt Lukin. Eddie and Stone joined us in this intimate atmosphere. We were so lucky!!!! Enough said on that!!!

"let me take you down...cause i'm going to... pearl jam fields...everything is for real.....and nothing to get hung about...pearl jam fields forever..."

Well listening to them tonight was just as the young man, who was at a loss for the proper words in a previous fanview, to describe the feeling....but YES! YES! Yes! I agree with him...it was like a long continuous orgasm! For those too young to know...you know now if you have seen Pearl Jam, what that is like ...However! it is SO FAR superior....I think....to a sexual experience...NO contest...I continue to be turned on by Pearl Jam in a spiritual way....and everytime I attend a Pearl Jam event...the ecstasy INCREASES!!

From the wings they came out, our five Pearl Jammers...armed with their instruments of charm starting off with a telling No Code selection...'Sometimes'..with the crowd immediately showing how they too love No Code, since they sang along with Ed so perfectly...OH how I adore this song and tonight I heard it in the most compelling fervor....My Gorgeous Guys up there again and in such form....Corduroy followed....the crowd going mad immediately, spell bound by the sound. We are here to worship.....

Next, a song that says it all for those of us who have been scarred by failures in love/lust...'Animal.'...so scarred we are that we have retreated to the company of animals to get through this lifetime.

But alas...there comes hope...'Given To Fly' begins with a beautiful light show and a backdrop large screen of the sky so true blue and the billowy clouds floating in the sea of Love from this ecstatic song. The audience jamming in song along with our Guys....

The light show and the band has become so fined tuned since the beginnings of Yield tour in Maui....Spectacular...I bow to the lighting engineers and designers...Fabulous show..truly.

.... More electricity behind the Pearl Jammin' frenzy, with Tremor Christ and lightning in the skies on the big screen. Fab Strobe effect was killer...By the way Guys....you look Marvelous...on those big TV screens....woo!!! more more more!!!!

Hail Hail was next...Minor rain on my parade, as security asked me to get down off of my seat. I yielded for the moment...Ed was singing..."ohhh i could be you if you fuckin' let me!!!" So when she left I climbed back up when the coast was clear! Dancing with a great view of Ed front, Stone to his left, Mike and Jeff to his right and Matt behind...Speaking of Matt, he was so So magnificent tonight...I have to say, he is THE STICKMAN! to be sure. Hail Hail to Matt and then to us who are IN LOVE, the lucky ones, in LOVE with Pearl Jam...I am that....we grooved on into the night magically sailing and dancing to the wealth of full sound....manifique!!!

Not For You!!!! walled in an energy wave full of sing along voices bricking it up! Crowd approval galore with lighting effects and going completely wild in response to Ed saying "glad you could make it!" Softly then they continued to sing with Ed and then Yell "this is not for you!!! fuck you!!!" Yah!! get all that out....Yah!!! Oh and then Mikie...Mikie Mike mike MIKE and his sweet solo herein....taking it away....the end..

Habit we all fall down....it was there filling our ears and we danced and sang with Pearl Jam and those meticulous drum beats Matt! Never thought you'd Habit....Never! Screams of delight from the crowd when Ed said in verse after a pause... "speaking as someone standing in front of a large portion of north carolina." Ed, again such a crowd pleasing man with his personalization of this concert.

Then as I became the ebow in Ed's hand, AND the crowd sang along...Wishlist and the mirror ball descended upon us there. Our collective wish came true...we are As Fortunate as We....Ed threw his ebow out to the lucky one in the front.

Even Flow, a "new one" filled the rafters next and voices of thousands joined Ed and Ed let us take to lead here and there. We were RIGHT ON...singing this one perfectly...Such togetherness.....brings us a warmth paralleled NOWHERE else...but with our beloved Pearl Jam....and again...Mike MIKE Mikie...playing those sonic blasts to mesmerize us! Jeff doing his powermeister bass. What could be finer than watching Stone begin Daughter next and then see the spotlight on Jeff for Jeremy?? We love this.

I danced with Stone on all the songs...he is so animated...MIke and Jeff jamming together and bouncing around with Stone...so electrifying. Ed is such a great dancer too!! and he took some lessons from a guy in the front row...who he pointed out and imitated..."this guy's dancing like a mother fucker." Yah! We love to see you groove Gorgeous Guys! Great Echo Eddie effx too! Howlin'!! EDDie!

Ed did some fast feeling out of this crowd.....and decided we could handle Footsteps! Wahh!!! Yah!!! woo!

O.K. this is getting too long..Oh but I tell you about the funny thing that happened on one of Mike's solos in Go. Mike had himself balled over in a pile on the floor while playing his guitar..you know sort of folded over his guitar on the floor....At the end of the song Stone says..."what happened mike? did ya get stuck?" I almost died laughing!! Stone I LOVE YOU!!!

So I will stop this. They kept playing ...more oh so much more..but this is getting too long....as you probably wish I would stop...or do you?? hmmmm? Well let's just say that THIS was ONE!!! FANFUCKINGTASTIC!!!! Concert!!! and if you missed it....well....you NEED TO DO THE EVOLUTION!

Next stop....Greenville...Guys...I'll be right down in front!!!! Woooo!!! look out !!!!:)
