If there ever was a reincarnation of God, I believe it would in the
shape of Mike McCready. The solo to Alive was out of this world! I've
been waiting for this night for a long time and it was worth every
second. I'd just like to thank the guys for stopping in Boston and
rocking my ass off. The night was perfect; thanks to the PJ fan club
for the awesome seats. I can now die a happy man. Thanks again.

It's 7:20 A.M. Sept16. I don't know why I'm not still asleep. We arrived home from Great Woods at 2:45A.M. Pearl Jam put on THE most awesome show last night. They opened with "sometimes" and did a great job and the crowd responded. I think "corduroy" was next and the band wailed. "hail hail" followed and we ripped it up back on the lawn. I believe "immortality" followed and I was completely in awe of Mike's solo; wail seems too meek a word to describe it. From there my memory fails me as to the order of songs but "rearviewmirror" and "animal" were in there towards the beginning and both were done with great enthusiasm, much to our delight. "nothingman," "brain of j", "alive", "daughter", and a few others all blended into a zealous set that showed this band still kicks ass.
The band left the stage and we roared for more. Ed said how they'd played Boston a few times even Great Woods with Soundgarden (yea Matt) then he said he wanted to play a song for Bill, a guy who comes to mind when he thinks of Boston. They went into "elderly woman." Then "black" "do the evolution" "last exit" and Neil Young's "why do i" were a part of the best encore I've ever seen. The energy level on stage was incredible. At one point, Ed punched out the center of his tambourine and had it down over his head around his neck. The 2nd encore was "yellow ledbetter" and again Mr. McCready kicked ass. Mike, you rule buddy. Ed begged us to let them go so they'd have something left for tonight's show. I'm convinced this band has come through its own evolution and will rule the alternative world for years to come. Thanks PJ and oh yeah I remember why I'm up so early; I got things to do before heading back down for tonight's show.

Wow!!! Awesome Show!! This was my third time seeing the gang. The first time was the Boston Garden show back in '94. My second time was the Augusta Show (very intimate crowd...at least if you were up against the barricade like me) in '96. Tonight's show was by far the best yet!!! I was absolutely AMAZED at Mike McCready. The man can play guitar. At one point during the show Eddie mentioned "...yeah they had hendrix....but we have mccready" and he's right! The man can play! Immortality was one of his highlights with a beautifully smooth guitar solo! Cameron was also impressive...he adds quite a bit to the already popular songs. Couple of other nice highlights to the show: Eddie played Crazy Mary as an intro into Wishlist. They closed the second set with Neil Young's F'ing Up. And Closed with a second encore of Yellow Ledbetter....once again McCready Stole the show playing those cords away!!!! Awesome Night!!! Going Again Tomorrow to do it all again! =)
