In a hurry but here's a quick review: PJ sounded great, they played straight through without so much as a breath taken between songs. I've never seen them before but have seen just about every group and have been going to concerts for 20 years--- PJ rocked that place last night with solid rock n' roll, pure energy, and music talent!!!! I bought tickets for tonight's show even though Eddie said that it might "blow chunks" because they would be so tired from last nights show. They did a solid 2 - 2 1/2 hour show and about 23 songs or so. Stone kicked ass with some solid playing, eddie's voice was smooth, yet defiant when he choose it be, the entire band was totally in sync w/each other and produced a sound that was something rare in today's rock venues. To sum it up: PEARL JAM IS THE BEST BAND I HAVE SEEN LIVE IN A LONG TIME!

I'm a fan for life now. Enjoy the future shows.

What a professional, talented, riveting group of musicians. It's like a drug; you just want more. No wonder we exhaust them, we can't let them go -- but it's their talent that creates our insatiability. It's what made the chills run up my arms and down the back of my neck. For the whole first set, there was no banter, no nonsense, just song after gorgeous song, an overwhelming stream of music. We jump up and down, we scream, cry, and smile, I wave and blow kisses to signal "thank you, i love this music and poetry you make, i want you to know that it touches me!" We reach our arms up and out to the musicians who deliver to us this wave of noise to ride. Yikes. It's positively religious.

Then some local references...we've been here before... (Yes, we were there the first time they were here, at a Lollapalooza show when Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were so new they appeared in mid-afternoon. We are Faithful, we've been here for the long term, we're always here, we'll be here next time and the time after that.)

Then another string of gems and then one last pearl, and that's all they can do, Ed (oh, smile for us again!) is dripping with sweat while Mike seems so cool (he had long sleeves on the whole night; even after he changed to a clean T he put a jacket on over it, how did he stand the heat?) Matt drums like he's there to stay. Stone is such a solid presence.

As much as I love the older songs, the Yield stuff really shines. Given to Fly is a masterpiece. Wishlist live makes my head spin. I know why people get obsessed. It's a craving for MORE. Thank you thank you thank you to the Ten Club for the opportunity and to the band for the experience.
