DAR Constitution Hall is the place PEARL JAM can really shine. They were on fire last night when they played DAR in D.C. I made it up to the 4th row with my friends and managed to stay up there even with the very tight security. ha. We snuck in a real Yield sign by wrapping it with poster board, and making look like a fake one. One of my friends then got up to the front and handed it to Eddie, who then signed it. Eddie then said to my friend Kirch, "i am going to keep this up here, you could hurt someone with this thing." My friends and I were screaming at the tops of our lungs because Eddie just talked to one of our friends. Eddie put the sign at the back of the set for the rest of the show.

For those people who went the the Merriweather show, he did all different songs, which was great because we heard a lot of songs that we had never heard PJ perform before. They did a great version of " push me, pull me". I didn't even think they could do that song live, with all of the weird drums in the background. I just thought it would be too difficult. I have to say that one of the best parts of the night was when they did "daughter". They did all of Daughter and then did a verse of "rockin' in the free world", everyone went crazy for that, the place shook and then they molded into "wma". It was amazing to watch the band communicate with each other, I think it all happened on a whim, I don't think that that was planned at all. One of the other stellar parts of the show was when they did "yellow ledbetter", that song is so amazing life, that words just can't describe it, I even think Eddie was in awe when Mike did that last solo, Mike just went crazy for 5 or so minutes. Everyone was standing there staring at Mike and when he finished the place went so crazy that you couldn't even think, it was just sound everywhere. This concert tops any concert I have ever been to before by an un-countable amount.

They looked like they were having a lot of fun up there, they seem to have a new youth again, they are jumping and rolling all over the place. None of this folding chair stuff, they were really rocking it hard out there. The crowd really responded when they would end a song by jumping and doing the last cord, sorry I am not to sure if they have a name for that or not.

This has been the best weekend I have ever had in my life so far. 2 Pearl Jam shows, a signed Yield sign, a near arrest, and a reunion of some great friends from collage. What else could you ask for. Well, maybe 2 tickets to the W. Palm Beach, FL. shows at Coral Sky Amphitheater. but that might be pushing it a little. it would be one hell of a drive. ha, later PJ fans. ---------------Sean

First, a note to Eddie: Thanks for signing my brother's YIELD sign. We love Pearl Jam. After the show at Meriweather the night before I thought that nothing could top it. But this did. Whether it was the fact that we snuck in a Yield sign or that we were in the sixth row or that we waited for 39 HOURS for the tickets or that Eddie talked on the mic about us or the fact the cops stopped us and we got let off or what, but this was the greatest night of my life.

A highlight of the evening for me was Dissident because they hadn't played it at the Meriweather show, also Not For You was amazing. Tonight had a totally different feel from Meriweather because they played a lot of stuff from YIELD. The best of which had to be Do The Evolution because it was a great performance(would Eddie give anything else) and Eddie gave a nice little intro about creationism and evolutionism. At the end of it he looked at Stone who immediately burst into the opening chords. Mike was amazing on guitar again. His solo at the end of Yellow Ledbetter stole the spotlight completely. As Eddie and Stone just stared in amazement he kept playing and playing.

The beginning of the encore was the best part because when Eddie came out my brother handed him the YIELD sign. Eddie gave it a look over and bent down and signed it. He then said "hey i think i'll keep this up here, this is dangerous you could hurt someone." At this point we all went crazy, Eddie Vedder just signed my brothers sign. Eddie is the man. He then started talking about the last benefit here in 95 and Neil Young which lead into I Got Shit. After I Got Shit someone threw a sign on stage, Eddie perused it and read "what up dogs? you guys kick ass and i mean kickin it. you guys are great and next time you're in town look us up we're in the book. love, bill hillary and chelsea. this got a laugh from the crowd. then he said "Gee if he'd have just said Homies there ain't no shit goin' down here! Then everything would be alright -- Oh wait he already said that." then the guys went into betterman. next was alive which rocked, of course, and then soldier of love. then the emcee gloria steinam came out and talked and got beth to come onstage and do a little slow dance with eddie. then they broke into yellow ledbetter to finish it off. i'd like to thank pearl jam and hovercraft because i will never forget this night. keep up the good work and i'm looking forward to the next show.

Wow! What a night! Hovercraft and Pearl jam rocking out to support a great cause. Quite a different feeling and quite a different show from all the others on this tour. For everyone that was at the show I just want to say "what up dawgs!" Music was superb, including some rare ones (Act of Love, Push Me, Pull Me, and a great version of Present tense). Mike McCready, enough said! Gloria Steinum was on hand to encourage everyone to fight to protect women's rights to reproductive freedom. What a night, what a show! Thanks for all the memories, see you next time! (Hi Molly, Brad, Eric!)
