Hearing many concerts before, I have to say I haven't heard anything
like what I have just witnessed. This was a dream Pearl Jam concert.
The crowd showed so much energy throwing seats everywhere to make a
mosh pit!
Of course I had nothing to do with that :)
The night started off with a classic version of Release and then Ed
and the boys hammered into Hail Hail. This really got the mosh pit
started. Animal was next and it was also mosh pit crazy! Do The
Evolution showed Jeff, Mike and Stone's singing talent when they all
joined in to do the choir bit. Next up were some classics such as
Alive, I Got Shit, Brain of J., Nothingman and Daughter. The whole night
almost everyone was standing. This was Classic Pearl Jam.
The closing of the concert was what every Pearl Jam fan would dream
of... Footsteps, Porch, Spin The Black Circle, Better Man, Leaving Here and
of course, Rockin In The Free World. This concert is gonna be very hard
to top and a little note to all you bootleg crazy fans... There was a
very big long object in the middle of the floor with lots of buttons
:) so watch for this one.

This was our first PJ show we had ever seen, and definitely not the last. The
atmosphere was electric as 13,000+ people packed the Brisbane Entertainment
Centre.
The set list was incredible, including 'Nothingman' from Vitalogy. The usual dose of all
the other favourites appeared, however Rearviewmirror was not played and we
were quite disappointed. All of you are probably familiar with the long
instrumental that is played in live versions of 'Porch' - tonight saw by far
the best we have heard yet!
Another song that was played that has appeared left out in this tour was
'Leaving Here', from the Home Alive compilation CD.
An added highlight was when Eddie was drinking a stubbie on stage, followed
by another once it was finished. The first one he shook over the few front
rows of the mosh pit, with the second erupting on the stage after Eddie
jumped off a speaker, causing the beer to fizz up and pour everywhere.
Overall, this was the best damned concert we have ever seen in our lives.
Even thought the decision may be a little biased because of the fact that it
was a Pearl Jam show....well, WHO CARES! They were awesome, and definitely
worth seeing again.

I saw them tonight in Brisbane and I have seen them before and they still
rock, although, I think that Eddie should have played up a bit more, cos the
crowd always goes wild at that. It was a pity the security guards did not
let Eddie stay down with the crowd....YES he jumped off stage....to where,
who knows, but my guess is that he did not get too far. A huge wooohoooo to
the guy that made it up on stage (god only knows how) and got to hug
Eddie.....ooooohhh you lucky bastard....hahahahaha
The highlights would had to of been, Eddie's story about the animal noises he
heard while sitting under a tree (I hope I got that right) hmmm, sounded to
me like a bong....hahahahaha....ALIVE, BETTERMAN and LEAVING HERE would have
been the best songs of the night, with the entire crowd singing along with
Eddie.
And did you see this? During the show Eddie
walked behind the screen to see the poor l'il people who had shit seats
behind the stage....hahahaha....and while doing so, to the band's left, up
the back corner......EDDIE did a BACKSPIN!!!!!!!!! It was an awesome site.
:P
Hmmm, my only disappointment was that they did NOT play Yellow Ledbetter,
but, there is always tomorrow night, as I am going AGAIN! woooooohooooooooo
Keep up the great work Pearl Jam and hope to see you again in Brisbane very,
very soon. (forget about waiting till you release another album, you could
play here once a year and always, always, always sell out)
