Pearl Jam have to be the most awesome band to see live!!! I saw them both nights they were in Brisbane. I have to say that the first was better because the guys were so energised and they just seemed to be rocking out and having a good time! (And also because I was in the mosh pit on the first night.) But tonight was a more low key, mellow performance, but it was in no way lacking that tremendous Pearl Jam energy.

Just before Not For You Eddie paused to explain the bands' mellow performance, he said that he had spent the whole day in the ocean, six hours in fact, he said that was why the whole band was feeling pretty melancholy. He also told us how he had to piss on Stone because he got stung by a jellyfish. He then told Stone to show everyone where he was stung and Stone pulled his shirt up to the crowd. Everyone clapped and cheered at this. Then they played an awesome version of Not For You, with Eddie introducing it by saying "this is Not For You and it's not for you" or something like that!

We were also a privileged crowd to have Ed do his version of what he thinks "is possibly the best Australian song ever written," Throw Your Arms Around Me, which he dedicated to the one he loves.

Other highlights for me would be seeing them perform Blood and Rearviewmirror. And seeing Stone sing Mankind.

They finished the night off yet again with Rockin' in the Free World. For this song Ed brought out a friend of his to play guitar with them. Before they started Eddie asked for the lights to be turned on. During this song all the guys were really getting into it and laughing a lot. Right at the end Eddie went right to the edge of the stage and tried to pour red wine over the front few rows of moshers and then he poured the rest on himself and threw the bottle into the mosh pit. And then picked up his notebook and left my life yet again! See you next time guys!

Wooooohooooo.....I have now seen Pearl Jam 3 times and still cannot get enough of these guys. (once when they toured a few years back and last night and tonight in Brisbane)

Well what can I say, these guys are awesome and that voice of Eddie's.....Mmmmmmmmmm. Both shows were terrific but, I reckon the crowd at Saturday night's show went off more than tonight's.

It was great to hear the guys start the show off with Long Road, what a brilliant song. After this song there was quite a bit of Boooooing. WHAT? you say, at a Pearl Jam concert? Yes, Eddie finished Long Road then said.....HELLO MELBOURNE (I think it was Melbourne first ahahaha)...then continued with the other capital cities, everyone still boooooing...and then finally decided to give us a break and said HELLO BRISBANE. The crowd went crazy. And once again, as we all did last night, the crowd sang along and went OFF when they played Alive and Better Man.

We were all privileged enough to hear Eddie's version of "Throw Your Arms Around Me"....nobody does it as good as him, not even Hunters & Collectors. I don't know what it is, but everyone always seems to go even crazier when Pearl Jam performs another artist's song. (also happened a few years back when they performed "I Got You" by Split Enz)

One of my favourite parts of the show, was when Stone sang Mankind....what a brilliant song. My only disappointment was that they still did NOT play Yellow Ledbetter...this song is one of THE best songs they have ever recorded....Why is it not on any albums and only on the Daughter single????? And NO State of Love and Trust?????

Tonight, Pearl Jam actually did TWO encores, unlike last night which was only one : ( Hundreds of people actually started to leave the centre after the first encore. Derr...rule No. 1 people.....if the lights have not come on...then they are coming back. (well so my experiences have taught me)

Once again, Eddie poured his drink all over the crowd....but tonight, he also poured it over himself....hahahha......what a guy....anything to make the crowd go even wilder : )

I thoroughly enjoyed both shows and eagerly await their return. These guys rock and I hope they will be around for a long while yet.
