Those flying V's! This would have to be one of the best shows I've seen! The crowd were pumping and the guys were in awesome form.

Eddie came on with a blond wig & joked that he went to same hairdresser as Elton John (who was playing Sydney on the same night). He took it off but I reckon he should dye his hair - it looked hot!

The highlights were Nothingman, Spin the Black Circle, Faithfull, Brain of J., Daughter, Even Flow and words can't explain the encores.

The first one finished with Better Man after Eddie told the crowd a story about his hero, Australian surfer Mark Richards who was at the gig. You could hear the whole crowd singing Better Man and the guys were really getting into it.

Then Eddie came back & opened the second encore with an acoustic version of Throw Your Arms Around Me as a tribute to Marc Hunter - the lead singer of Aussie rock legends Hunters & Collectors who is dying of cancer. It was awesome to say the least - just Ed on stage with a guitar and a spotlight. Then the rest of the guys joined him on stage & they played Alive - by my understanding the first time they played it in Sydney on this tour. It went off. The perfect ending to the perfect gig - the best $47 I've ever spent.

So my sister and I arrive early as we had floor tickets... hardly anyone waiting yet .. looking good... after a 2 hr wait we are let in... straight to the front row for us...the crowd is really psyched tonight...

Shudder To Think come on to an empty Entertainment Centre.. I think the word had passed around that these guys weren't the best... They were alright though... They try, I'll give them that...

The crowd swarm in... I look behind me to find big guys everywhere.. I'm gonna get hammered.. but I don't care... I have to say at this point that the security guys were the best I've ever encountered.. they were helpful... and very efficient... my hats off to them...

Five past nine... the lights go out and the band run on stage with wigs on... Eddie is sporting a nice short blonde number... Stone has opted for the dreadlocks... Jeff the dark brown curls... Mike the big black curls and you really couldn't tell with Jack.. but it was big... :-)

They open with Sometimes... which was different but great at the same time... the crowd went ballistic and Eddie seemed very happy to be here.. as we were too!!!

A couple songs in they kick into Dissident which is one of my favs of all time and they did it justice... These guys are on top of the world and giving us their best!!!

Other highlights included Wishlist.. MFC which is a big hit live... and should be the next single even though it's not.. as well as Corduroy and Rearviewmirror which everyone loves...

Eddie chatted to us all the way through... almost like we were in a little room just sitting and having a conversation.. the way a real rock concert should be...

After an hour and a half solid they go off... I'm totally hyped and loving it... still no hassles from the crowd..

They come back to do State of Love and Trust which is my all time favourite!!!! I'm so glad they did it and it went off as did I !!!

Eddie is in fine form with Brain of J following then Better Man which is the crowd favourite... off they go again... hoping they will come back....

Eddie comes back and sits by himself saying it's just you and me for this one..then kicks into Throw Your Arms Around Me by Hunters and Collectors which I might add Mark Hunter is not the lead singer .. he is from Dragon...

But I saw Eddie perform this at Eastern Creek.. it was beautiful then and even more beautiful now... I'm sure there wasn't a dry seat in the house!!!

That was the highlight of my night. Thank you Eddie for doing that one song even though it isn't yours. :-)

The band come back on stage and when the first chords of Alive start, the whole crowd erupts... the guys know we were waiting for it... and they made the most of it..you could hear the crowd sing over Eddie which is pretty hard to do... Towards the end of the song Eddie runs over to the side and waves at the crowd.. dashes to the other side and does the same.. The house lights come on while they are still playing and the crowd goes wild... The look on Eddie's face was amazing.. True happiness was emanating from his body... He runs back and falls flat on his face but it doesn't matter cause we are just so happy.

Eddie takes one last look at us. Thanks Sydney...and walks off the stage.. a beautiful ending to a beautiful concert. If my faith was dimming after Monday, it has been restored ten fold.

Pearl Jam have cemented themselves as one of the greatest rock bands in the world... and I want to say thank you to them for sharing their music with us!!!
