"And all my preconceptions are what should've been burned", for Pearl Jam have Yielded to something unknown, and put on a show that cannot be forgotten. Not like their others shows in 1995 were bad, for they were bloody great, but something was different. They weren't just playing music to their usual high standard. It was different.

From the minute they walked out, dressed up in retro 70's gear (particularly the wigs ), we all felt that we were on stage with them, enjoying the joke. "Sometimes" started, followed by the frantic "Do the Evolution", "Animal", and "Hail, Hail". It was only through "Even Flow" that Eddie suggested to the crowd that they were "fuck'in pussies". This only made the mosh more frenzied than it ever was.

In a set that pushed the boundries, "I Got Id","Habit","Spin The Black Circle" and "RVM" were definite highlights. Even while Eddie caught his breath (which makes me think, in fun, who the pussie is!!!), Mike managed to entertain the crowd with some great improvisation.

It is moments like these that made us all feel that we were part of the band. Enjoying the night, music and humour. Such was the fun of the night that we all listened to Eddie's story of a young man's encounter with the great Mark Richards. But don't ask Eddie for an autograph, because all you get is "fuck off kid, get a life",......... "sometimes".

But, the music was more than enough. The encore followed with "Go", "Brain of J." and the special "Throw Your Arms Around Me," performed at Eastern Creek in 1995.

Then the "Flying V's" came out and so did "Alive". The night ended on a high and not only does the band have a suitcase full of memories, but so do we all. Thank you Mike, Stone, Jeff, Jack and Eddie and all those others behind the scenes. We shall not forget.
