Todd Grimes (tpgrimes@acsu.buffalo.edu):

This show was amazing!!! No problems at all with the entire set. I for one was surprised to hear Crazy Mary. A killer version of Baba O'Riley spurred the crowd into a frenzy and we were promised that if we did better than the Chicago crowd, then we would make it onto The Who Tribute album. I can't thank anyone enough for the great seats that my Ten Club membership got me. Twelfth row. Could have been closer, but hey, I'm not complaining. Mike was blazing tonight. He had an extremely long solo in Even Flow and was excellent in all of the other songs. Ed did a great job during the concert and especially during Insignificance and Better Man. At the end of the encore the house lights came on and I knew this was it. Baba O'Riley. The crowd was so loud during and after that song that they came back again for a great version of Alone.

Must get some rest.

I've just got back from Toronto, Air Canada Centre and I have to say, that was the best concert I have ever seen. Pearl Jam was amazing. They were so into it and so was the crowd. I did not stop moving until the show was over. Jeff, Stone, Mike and Matt were excellent. Eddie though, blew my mind. Not since Jimmy Page have I seen someone so into their music. He shows so much emotion. When he sings it almost entrances you, he makes you feel what he is feeling.

The Set List was wicked and I have never been as happy as I was when they played 'Black,' which has been my favorite song since I first heard Pearl Jam. 'Do the Evolution' was done very well When they played that the entire crowd went wild. I was also very impressed by the performance of 'Insignificance' which I believe was one of the best songs from Binaural. 'Once' was also very impressive. I also loved Stone singing 'Mankind.'

Like I said before, the show was amazing! I know I will remember this concert forever and I can't wait to see them again.

I am still in a surreal state of mind. OK, I don't remember the set list because I was just having too much fun. Row 5 right in front of Mike who was wailing tonight like everyone else. The guys genuinely seemed to enjoy the moment tonight. Eddie enjoyed his wine in Toronto and even shared some with the front row. He enjoyed putting a "Geddy Lee" into Wishlist which was awesome. The crowd was mellow at first, reminiscent of Katowice II (Toronto should be a great bootleg!) and then we all got kickstarted. The sound in the Air Canada Centre was just amazing. Eddie said the last time they were here, they played a place on a hill named after beer (Molson Park '98) and wondered if they still named these places after beer. "I guess not, this place is named after an airplane, it's time to take off!" DO THE EVOLUTION BABY! kickstarted Eddie onto his knees and kicking the sh*t out of the mic.

Mike looked like he was enjoying the moments and Stone was simply awesome when he sang "Mankind" which was a nice treat for us Canucks. There were so many other moments from Eddie talking about Stephen Hawking before Light Years to a kick-ass extended Rearviewmirror. Just one question: When the can I get my Toronto bootleg? Right now would be good.

Lowlights: The show is over.

Highlights: Stone and Mankind, Black, and the best Baba O'Riley I have ever participated clapping in while I looked around at 20,000 fans. Look for this one on the Who Tribute album (I know we were good enough Eddie!) Thank you Pearl Jam and thank you Ten Club for a special evening.

Brock
