Karen (karenthevedder@hotmail.com): I am going to try my best to bring justice to this amazing show that I witnessed Thursday night, so please be patient! It started after we got our 10Club tix (5th row and right infront of ED!) lining up for the merchandise booth and hearing the soundcheck! WOW!!!! We missed hearing Crazy Mary but the thought of POSSIBLY hearing it later that night, was even better! And we heard Mankind as well, which also got out hopes up! Supergrass was amazing! But the audience took awhile to get into them, great band nonetheless! Sometimes was a perfect opener to get everyone ready for the fast moving Breakerfall, followed by Corduroy and Grievance which is SUCH a great song live! Brain of J, Animal (counting along was so much fun! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 against 1 yeah...) and Dissident! Then out comes Jeff's stand-up bass for and AMAZING version of Nothing as it Seems, Mike you are a god! Given to Fly was incredible and the raw energy of Insignificance was breathtaking! Out again comes the stand-up for Daughter with the tag of "It's OK." I could not get over the feeling of ALL of he ACC signing Daughter and Betterman with perfect unison! How Amazing! Then it was "Stone's turn to sing" as Ed moved his mic stand back (what a gentleman!) to give Stone the chance to shine on the front of the stage! What a treat that was!!!!!! After Ed moved his stand back up and started with an enchanting version of Immortality that gave me chills up and down my spine for the entire song! And then they REALLY picked up the speed with an insanely fast version of Even Flow that I still can't get over! Black was amazing and at the end I remember seeing Ed learning the closing chords off Stone as he played and Ed tried to follow along, which he did very well! It was great to hear Rearviewmirror live! Sleight of Hand, thanks to my friend in the front row, Adam who made a sign for it, this song was played "for the guy in the front row!" Lucky Adam! Who by the way ALSO caught Mike's broken whammy bar after he tossed it into the crowd! I swear that when I touched it afterwards, it felt like it had magic in it! Crazy Mary, what else can I say! This song is SOOO good live! Once had sooo much emotion in it!! Incredible! I couldn't help but to jump for joy after hearing the opening chords for Do the Evolution! Ed then went to talk about how Stephen Hawkins had figured out that the Human race has about 1000 years left on the Earth and that he was "happy for the Earth"! Then came Wishlist and a mirrorball that made it seem so surreal! He even tagged on to the end something to the effect all the wishing will stop in 1000 years! Leatherman was great to hear again! But I was SO surprised with Baba! Nicely surprised of course! They all seemed soooo into it and happy! Ed went nuts with his little tambourine! Indifference was the perfect way to end the evening! An amazing song that show cased all of their talents perfectly! I cant remember which song, but at one point Matt went completely nuts on his set and the whole band turned to watch in respect and admiration, as Ed kept on mentioning his name later so we could praise him even more! I'm petty sure Mike is now an official guitar god, EVERY solo was breathing-taking! Even thought the Ukelele was spotted in the tune-up before and was not played, this is an evening I'm sure no-one there will "Soon Forget" ( Sorry I HAD to do that!) That was my third time seeing them and each time they get better than the last! It was great to hear Ed mention us all being spread out over the hill at Molson Park in '98! And him messing up the venues (the beer or airplanes!) was funny! I just want to say HI to the Jamily members I met there! Share, *intersteller*, Veddier, TorontoPearlGirl, PlaidSurfShorts and Silent Radar, it was great to meet such great PJ fans and human beings such as you! So I'd just like to say thank you to Stone, Ed, Mike, Jeff and Matt for giving us all such an unforgettable evening! Thank you Pearl Jam for everything! Karenthevedder
