Anything but ordinary. When they hit Go from the get go, I knew this show had a few surprises in store. Sitting a bit further back than I was in Cincinnati (row 10 there, in Detroit I was more like row 20), but it didn't matter. Amazing setlist, even the classic tunes were given new life. Betterman with both intro and singalong tag at the end. Daughter with WMA and some chants. Jeremy with the changed first verse and two amazing solos in Rearviewmirror and Even Flow, respectively!! Not to mention the songs you never think you're gonna hear - In My Tree and I Got Shit back-to-back!!! Two of my favorites (although Eddie flubbed a bit of In My Tree and changed one of the lines to "Everybody makes mistakes, yeah). A great Crazy Mary, a high spirited Last Kiss, SOLAT was dead, I mean dead, on.

Nothing as It Seems was not so on. Eddie started singing the "Saving up a sunny day" a bit early and then all the timing was off. They ended up skipping that whole verse. When the songs was done Eddie humbly announced, "I fucked that one up, that was my fault." But the highlight on the night was Parting Ways. If I'm correct this is the first time this song way played by the whole band (not just a Solo) and it was amazing. It is in my top 2-3 of Binaural and much more than a Long Road part II. Thank you Pearl Jam. Oh yeah, and the band was pretty animated, which was nice to see... Cincinnati they didn't say much. Here Eddie was talking before most of the songs, even gave us a rundown of all the places they've played in Michigan. Another great moment, during Last Exit, Eddie changes the line to "Soon be over... if Bush wins..." I couldn't quite make out the rest. Anyway, although they did not play Nothingman (I was screamin' for it), this was an amazing and surprising show. Thank you Ten Club, thank you Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam in Detroit was superb. They were in top form. Mike really showed us what he could do and we were all grateful. For the last song (Fuckin Up) Ed told them to put the lights on. I was standing on a chair about 30 ft. from the stage. Ed said that he fucked up on Nothing as it Seems and asked us to forgive him. Then someone had a sign that said "She's here and She's Sick," Ed read it out loud and said thanks to this guy, we'll all be sick tomorrow. The setlist was composed mostly of Vitalogy, Vs., and Binaural. They played Crazy Mary during the encore and I went crazy. Best time of my life, thanks to Pearl Jam.

Well, its the morning after I had seen them in Indy on the first leg of the tour Ed was mellow as ever but last night I saw flashes of the Ten Ed. He was dancing and having a blast they rocked out last night Opening with go and playing a ton of the harder stuff. They ripped through songs like State of Love and Trust and Jeremy while surprising me by playing Tremor Christ and In My Tree songs I have rarely heard of them playing live. The whole show Ed was smiling it looked like he was really enjoying himself last night. At the end he mentioned something about the #10 not hanging from the rafters at the Palace and then went into Fuckin Up for Rodman it was great. Thanks Guys for an Amazing night!!!! Oh one more thing if you are not in the fan club sign up today because they definitely take care of their fans 5th row thanks 10c rules!!!! Nixon In Detroit
