First of all I would like to give a special thanks to the Fan Club for such great seats, fourth row, dead center (almost close enough to get spit on by Ed). This was my third PJ concert and I must say the best one yet.

I thought they might start out with Long Road but when I heard the first few notes from Of The Girl I knew this night would be great. Corduroy was great as always and Insignificance was even better live. After Brain of J. and Evacuation they slowed things down a bit for Nothing As It Seems. Jeremy rocked. The whole crowd could be heard almost as loud as Ed. I could not tell what song he tagged on the end of Daughter but it was something with "I wish, I wish, I wish..." followed at the end by "Hey hey it's OK." I love the way they always change Daughter. MFC got the crowd jumping again and then they played one of my favorite tunes, Whipping. They don't play it much live and was an excellent surprise. Wishlist and Better Man had the crowd singing again. Then another surprise with Leatherman! Grievance and Even Flow really whipped the crowd into a frenzy. In My Tree was another mild surprise. I can't say enough about how good Black is live. No matter how many times they play it, it still gives me goose bumps to listen to Mike play that solo. He is truly awesome and responds to the crowd with enthusiasm. Spin the Black circle got the crowd up again and Rearviewmirror was incredible, played out quite a bit longer. I'm not sure but I thought I heard a short Stairway to heaven riff played by Mike somewhere in the middle. What an awesome set!!

They started off the first encore with Light Years. After this Ed approached a guy in the third row who had been holding up a tape recorder all night. Ed told him he would put it up on stage so the guy could put his arm around his girlfriend for a while. Ed said something into the recorder up on stage that no one could hear. If your out there man tell us what he said!! He said they were going to play a couple of romantic songs and they broke into Crazy Mary. This was totally unexpected and unbelievable. The next "romantic" song was Do the Evolution followed by SOLAT, one of my all time favorites. They ended the first encore with Last Kiss and Breakerfall.

The second encore began as expected with Soon Forget. Ed asked for silence so he could get it right but he missed a couple of lines early. When Ed broke out the harmonica the crowd went nuts knowing that Smile was next instead of Ledbetter. It was really cool to see Stone on bass and Jeff on guitar. What a great ending to a perfect night of PJ

All of the guys were great on stage. It was strange to see Jeff without a hat. Matt Cameron is an excellent addition to the band. Ed did mess up the lyrics a few times but that's what makes the shows so special. Most of the time he would just smile and go on. He did bust his mouth on the mic during Spin The Black Circle but recovered nicely. These guys have been a big part of my life for the past 8 years. Thanks for keeping each show special and keeping your heart and emotions in each and every song.

For starters, I just want to quote Joey Russo and say "WHOA!" This show was the most kick-ass I have seen and I have been to quite a few (the last one being Aug. 4 in Charlotte). Those of you who did not get the chance to be at this show missed out on something magical. The set list was the most diverse of any PJ show I have seen and included some great surprises.

Eddie seemed to be in a great mood and Mike stole the spotlight several times with his unbelievable guitar solos. Jeff and Stone were, of course, incredible (I love their backing vocals!) Matt, although the newest addition, played like he had been there since the beginning. All in all, the Fab Five gave one of their greatest performances to the crowd in Greensboro! THANK YOU GUYS.

My favorite moments: Being 5th row center (it rocked), hearing Leatherman (great tune), In My Tree, Crazy Mary, having the pleasure of experiencing Ed's ukelele in Soon Forget (it's OK that he forgot a word or two, he's Eddie!), and last but definitely not least, the Stone and Jeff switch-off for Smile. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

Thank you for giving your fans something to remember for a lifetime. We love you guys. If the law of averages continues to work out, see you in 2 years!
