Warning: This is kinda long... but worth it ;-P

Ok, first of all I was very curious to see what kind of tickets Ten Club would throw at me and so after a long day at SixFlags I arrived at the Ten Club ticket window eager to see my tickets. Boy was I surprised. FRONT ROW! hell yeah... So amid the excitement we go and grab a bite to eat and arrive back at the show around 6:30.

The Show:
The band walked onstage and went directly into Release. This song is sooo powerful live. Ed's voice was overpowering. This was a really good version of this song. From here they went directly into Corduroy. Damn this song rocks! At this point I could already tell that this show was going to be something to remember. Mike looked very excited and energetic. He was looking around the whole time smiling, pointing at everyone ;-P I really love this song. The next song was the first song of the evening from their new album "Binaural"... Insignificance. This song is one of my favorites from the new album. It sounded perfect. I must say Ed's guitar playing skills have improved significantly...hehe (no pun intended) The band got pretty excited during this tune all dancing and jumping around. This carried over into a frenzied version of Animal. The whole front section was doing the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, against 1 hand thing while jumping up and down. Lot's of energy throughout both the crowd and the band. Hail Hail was served up next. Ed changed the line "...the lucky ones I refer to those in front..." pointing down to us in front. NAIS was next with Mike supplying some impressive guitar work, and a sweet solo. Rival was next, and Ed forgot to start singing at the beginning so he had to run up to the mike and start the song a little late. This song is simply incredible. It grows on you... definitely one of the highlights off the new album.

Given to Fly came next and the entire crowd sang along loudly. Especially the "waves came crashing..." part which builds up. (BTW not sure if this is common practice but the crowd was miked. This led me to believe that they are definitely looking to release these shows on CD at the end of the tour.) Light Years... I can't say enough about this song. It was incredible. Do the Evolution... lot's of energy here as well. They really enjoy playing this one. Ed especially... Even Flow rocked. Mike solo was interesting. He made some really cool effects/noises right before kicking back into the song. In Hiding was a pleasant surprise. They didn't play it Friday night and I just wasn't expecting it. Daughter/The Wrong Child was excellent. The extended jam was longer than usual. Eddie started Betterman with, "This next song is a really sad song." He played a neat little intro to it though... one I have never heard. The crowd really got into this song. It seemed like everyone was singing. Even the bouncers in the front were singing. Nothingman was a shocker. I love this song. He changed the view of the song to that of a woman. Which I thought was interesting. He mixed up the words at one point. Overall the song was very intense and emotional.

He began the next song with something like, "We don't play this song much but we decided to go for the trilogy." Leatherman... it was really good live. I think that even the people that didn't like this song initially were impressed with this live version. Grievance was really good. This song is simply great live. They seemed really excited about the new songs. They finished the first set with a Kickass version of RVM. It was very loud and in your face. All the guys were kind enough to throw picks and various other things out into the crowd, and I was lucky enough to grab one of Mike's picks. The guy a couple of seats over had quite a lucky night. He caught a tambourine, Mike's shirt, and a couple of picks. jeez... The guys came back out with a kickass version of "Once." I couldn't tell exactly what he said during the "I got nothing to say" part, but he definitely said something really fast. Breakerfall was really good. I must say all of the new songs sounded really tight. Ed began Immortality and when it came time to sing he forgot the beginning. So he backed away from the mike and tried to remember the first lines. The crowd cheered loudly... after a few seconds stone began to mouth the words to him. It was hilarious. They were all laughing. Ed began the song and couldn't remember much of the first verse so he sang random lines from the whole song. This part really had me laughing too because the whole band was chuckling at Ed. He sang the rest of the song perfectly though.

OK I have to say that this next song is the last song I ever thought they would have played. Crazy Mary. It started out with just Stone playing with Jeff and Ed singing. I must say this was my favorite song of the evening. at the end Ed jumped down off the stage with a bottle of Red Wine. He poured wine in everyone's mouth down front all while he sang the "Take a bottle drink it down....pass it around." He went all down the front row and stopped two people over from me...ughhh oh well ;-) It was really good to hear this one live. Elderly Woman was played next, the crowd really got into this one as well. Everyone was singing along. Porch was exciting. I remember thinking that they had been playing forever and that I couldn't believe how long this first encore was. They stayed on and played Fuckin' Up. I thought this might be the last song even though I know they usually play two encores because this one lasted sooo long. we were pleasantly surprised though when they came back out one last time with the house lights on and played Yellow Ledbetter.

Ed talked to the crowd a good bit more than on Friday. He talked about Ted Turner. He asked if he was up in the box seats and then preceded to unzip his pants. He talked about the discovery of the new planet ten light years away. He mentioned that 1 light year is 7 trillion miles away or something. He talked about Atlanta and how much they liked the city. This show was amazing. I've seen them 5 other times and this show was my favorite. I can't say enough about the Ten Club tickets. They really took care of the fans. All the people around me were fanclub members.
