Brian Byrd (PearlJm96@hotmail.com): First of all, let me say thank you once again to the Ten Club for doing such an awesome job getting its members the best seats in the house again. This is by far the best fan club in the world for the greatest band in the world. As far as the show is concerned, it was AMAZING! This show in Atlanta was my second Pearl Jam concert (Front row, Birmingham, AL - 1998). I didn't think it was possible to beat my inaugural Pearl Jam experience, but to my enjoyment, my high expectations were exceeded. The show started out with what I have always thought is the ultimate Pearl Jam opener...Release. After that, they kicked it into high gear with Corduroy, Insignificance, Animal, and Hail Hail. A great variety to begin a great show. Then they played a few songs from Binaural, Nothing as it Seems, Rival, and Light Years, with a personal Yield favorite Given to Fly thrown in between. After that, they rocked the crowd with Do The Evolution, Even Flow, and In Hiding. Then came Daughter and the trilogy of Betterman, Nothingman, and Leatherman. I never thought I'd get to hear all three of those, especially back to back. That was really cool. They then ended the first set with Grievance and my second favorite PJ song...Rearviewmirror. PJ then obliged the crowd with an encore of songs I never expected them to play. Once, Breakerfall, Immortality, Crazy Mary, Small Town, Porch, and F*ckin Up. I must say that Eddie was really cool when he got down in the crowd and gave the majority of the front row a drink during Crazy Mary. After the encore, they left the stage with the crowd screaming for more. Once again, they obliged and played an unbelievable version of Yellow Ledbetter, with Mike playing an extended solo to end the song and the show. Thanks again guys for a totally amazing performance! I must say that I can't wait until I get to see them again in New Orleans next week. It's gonna be another awesome experience. If anyone was in doubt of Pearl Jam's greatness going into this show, they definitely left it without a doubt that Pearl Jam is the greatest band of all time!
