So this is Act III... This is my third night seeing Pearl Jam live in Florida. On Wednesday night in West Palm Beach I had fan club seats in the tenth row, THANK YOU TEN CLUB! Thursday I was on the lawn, and Saturday in Tampa Bay, I was back in the seats. Before I forget, I would like to say hello to the couple I met from Delaware, they came all the way down for the three Florida shows. We met in West Palm the first night and after the show I told them we would see each other the next night, sure enough it happened, and then I was tailgating in Tampa and saw them again. They were really cool and shared my devotion to the music. Super Cool Coincidence! All three shows were very different, Wednesday was unpredictable maybe because of P.J. being in Florida for the first time in two years, Thursday was amazing, and Saturday was one of those nights Pearl Jam fans wish for!

They opened with Corduroy and then ripped through Grievance, Last Exit, Animal and Gods' Dice, before Eddie spoke to the crowd about how the band had enjoyed their three days and nights in Florida. Next was Tremor Christ off Vitalogy, which I've never seen the band play, and sounded really good live, even better than the album version. Mike McCready's guitar work on Nothing As It Seems wasn't from this planet, from a guitar solo standpoint that was my highlight of all three shows, well that and when Mike played the GO solo the first night in West Palm Beach behind his head, Hendrix style, sorry I should be concentrating on tonight's show.

Next was a great version of Jeremy complete with the loudest chorus sing-along I've heard in 6 P.J. shows. Followed by Evacuation, and then Ed played the first few bars of what sounded like Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, before a supercharged cut of Better Man, which ignited the crowd into a frenzy. Lukin, and Light Years, followed before the best version of Daughter I've ever heard, Ed told us he was going to sing something we all would know, and then tagged Another Brick In The Wall onto Daughter. (Maybe not the best Daughter ever, Atlanta 94? but close, in my opinion) Even Flow, Sleight of Hand, Small Town, Insignificance, and Rearviewmirror closed out the first set.

The first encore started with Do The Evolution, and Hail Hail, which the band normally plays earlier in past set lists. Next was Garden, one of my Pearl Jam Top Ten Live! If you've seen Garden live, you know where I'm coming from. Immortality was highlighted by McCready's sick soloing, and the rest of the band's ability to jam behind him. This song really is something else live, than on CD. Soldier Of Love and Porch brought the first encore to a close.

The second encore started with Ed showing off his Ukulele for the first time in Florida. Eddie told us over and over that we were going to have to get quiet in order to hear Soon Forget, Finally we agreed. Next was my first taste of Indifference live, which ignited the crowd into a deafening sing along with Eddie. Pearl Jam immediately left the stage, and I though that's it, there not going to do three encores. No Way! The lights were still on over the stage, and I thought maybe? After the loudest applause I have ever heard at a concert, P.J. came out with the house lights on and played Rockin' In The Free World, with the Tampa Bay faithful taking care of the choruses, Mike and Stone were bouncing up and down like pogo sticks, which gave way to pure mayhem across the Ice Palace. That will always stick deep in my mind!

Unbelievable show!!!!! I'd like to thank ED, Mike, Stone, Jeff, Matt, and the P.J. crew for making it an unbelievable three nights in Florida. Thanks for making the best music out there and keeping the ticket prices reasonable, so a college student like myself could go to all three shows. For those who haven't seen P.J. yet on this tour, All I can say is I wish I was in your shoes!
