Amazing, it is hard to put to words how great the show was. It was absolutely breath taking. First I need to say that tonight was the first night I had seen one of my best friends in over a year, if it wasn't for this concert we probably wouldn't have seen each other before we part ways to college. I wanted to add my personal favorites of the night.

(1) Grievance- this song is so powerful, truly makes you think. Pearl Jam has always been there to state their opinion on politics and I appreciate that, I was very happy to see voter's registration tables around the Ice Palace and hope that everyone who wasn't registered took the time to.

(2) Tremor Christ- the addition of "even the east coast still gets big big waves" got the crowd fired up, those little things that Eddie does to make each show customized.

(3) The addition of Pink Floyd at the end of daughter, telling the fans that he'll play our requests if we sing with him, guess those posters were worth it.

(4) Elderly woman behind a counter in a small town- one of my favorites, outstanding live and very memorable.

(5) Animal- all the hands in the air "five against one"

(6) Garden- the one song my friend and I agreed that we had to hear, when they started playing we were lost in the moment.

(7) Soon Forget- after pleading with the crowd to calm down so we could hear the ukulele Eddie sang, this was one song I absolutely had to hear, outstanding!

(8) After ripping out 2 great encores, the group came out for an amazing version of "Rockin' in the free world" Eddie threw anything he could find into the crowd, taking a Polaroid of himself and throwing it at a lucky fan, a tambourine, random paper on the stage...wonderful night. I will always have the images in my mind of Eddie with the bottle of red wine in his hand, the movement of the band...Eddie's somersault across the stage, and the great view I had of Mike, with the spotlight on him and his amazing sound.
Thank you Pearl Jam, for literally one of the most memorable nights of my life!

I waited what seems a life time for a show that great. The crowd was wild and full of energy and Pearl Jam just kept feeding us more reasons to stand up and scream. I arrived late therefore missing the opening band, Sonic Youth, but probably 5 minutes after I sat down, the house lights went down and the screams overpowered the music that was coming out of the speakers as the band came on stage. Slamming into the first song the crowd went so wild that you almost couldn't hear Eddie singing. Though there was a large group of people behind the stage Eddie quickly took note of them and they went absolutely wild! No one had to feel like they had the bad seats.

A couple fans had requests for the band and though I think they were for the older stuff off Ten, he told them he wouldn't play that song, but he would definitely play something they knew. They did and the crowd sang word for word. Now, this was my first time seeing them in concert so all I had to go by was the stuff I had seen on television, and I remember him counting with his hands to "Animal." And when Jeff, Stone, Mike, and Matt ripped into "Animal," I focused on Eddie's hands as he was counting. It wasn't until the end that I saw his hands counting with him, and it was something so small that I looked for, but something that I remember the best. "Jeremy," the classic PJ song was awesome and the crowd had their hands up in the air almost the entire time. They did all the motions from the video, and every word was screamed by the audience. It was amazing! But, with all of the classic singles they released stirring up the audience, possibly the best they did was "Gardens." The crowd that was so loud before calmed itself down slightly and I closed my eyes and the music surrounded me, and I imagine everyone else who was there. Mike McCready put his foot up on an amp, leaned his head back, and all you could see were his hands teaching the audience what great guitar playing is. The songs off the new album, "Binaural" were just as great as the old and the audience knew (Sleight of Hand, Light Years) as well. The first encore had "Do the Evolution" which was a favorite by the crowd. As the band left the stage, the crowd just begged for more, and they ended it with "Rockin' In a Free World," but what was the coolest part was that the house lights were on and they played anyway. It was the purest rock I think anyone could have ever asked for.

The band did not need a stage that threw off major fireworks, or lifted over the audience, or anything special. They hand everyone eating out of the palm of their hand simply by their talent. For nine years they have been my all time favorite band, because they are an honest band. Unlike some bands who don't quite sound the same as their albums as they do in concert, their albums are as pure as their talent and their performance was 2 and a half hours of pure energy.
