Ed, you're doing a good thing, here. Getting people in front of Ralph
Nader. I had heard of Ralph for many, many years, and thought highly of
him, but actually had never heard him speak. Very impressive.
I enjoyed every minute of this rally, with the other highlights being Jello
Biafra, Danny Glover's powerful performance of a poem, Jesse Colin Young,
and of course, Ed.
Wow, Jesse did well leaving his coffee plantation in Hawaii to start
playing again with his sons. His voice is superb and he chose great,
bluesy songs.
Ed's voice was in top shape, and his plaintive cries, "All I want is the
truuuuth" just gave me chills. John Lennon died on my birthday, and my son
was born on John's birthday (evidently, my son is NOT the reincarnation of
John as I first thought?) so this song being sung by Eddie really got to
me. Good choice, Ed!
An excellent performance, and enjoyable banter.
Since I was practically in Ed's lap, happened to have high speed film in my
camera so that I wouldn't annoy him with a flash, I took a bunch of
pictures. Enjoy!
