What a fantastic show! A multitude of talent all on one stage!

There were so many new songs and unfamiliar material, it’s hard to absorb. I shall have to listen to the show when the inevitable recordings start circulating in order to review the individual songs.

The three new songs on ukulele were fantastic, I must say. Nothing like Soon Forget, and those who question the trend of ukulele songs, need not worry. These songs were great songs independently of the instrument, and sounded fantastic and natural on the ukulele.

Lots of sad and emotional lyrics from what I caught. Beautiful melodies as well. I think these songs will certainly rank up there with the best of Ed’s material.

The fourth new song on guitar was the one which impressed me the most as being a developed song.

You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away was wonderful, with the audience singing along on the chorus.

Parting Ways was a beautiful version and Ed’s voice was gorgeous.

Dead Man was the best version I’ve heard, and a nice addition. Loved the Everly Bros. song with Beck, although it was dragging a bit.

I Am Mine continues to grow on me, and is fast becoming a favorite.

The audience was rowdy and kept yelling at Ed to take off his hat; of course, the more they did that, the more Eddie hid behind the hat! Finally, when he came out to sing with others, he showed off his new do. Not the most flattering hairdo on him, but there’s just something about a Mohawk that’s very sexy...Besides, Eddie made a sort of pledge to keep it until the U.S. stops killing people overseas… looks like we’re gonna have to get used to it!

Way too short, but always a pleasure to hear that voice.

Mike Ness came on and played the same song over and over… He’d say, "This is a Johnny Cash song," and start playing the same song, then "This is a Bob Dylan song" and again, the same song, and "This is one I wrote" and by god, the same song again! Even thought I’d heard Mike was going to come out and play, I had to leave. Came back just in time for Mike and Ed to join them.

Beck was much better than I expected; a great voice, and if I had been familiar with his songs, I’m sure I would have enjoyed it even more.

The finale was Sweet Virginia by The Stones, and Ed came back out. Everyone had a lot of fun with that one!
