Tomonori Muto (tomonoir@yahoo.co.jp):

After having been kept waiting outside in the cold rain, we did not have to wait long inside before the show began. We welcome the band all standing. The band started very smoothly and the audience appreciated their appearance after long years of missing. The band put us in full swing with the first three songs. Especially when Eddie jumped in the last part of "Even Flow," it was like kicking in an accelerator of the mood in the floor.

Until the short break before "I Got Shit," they played 12 songs with little interval. Everyone in the hall found his/her favorite tune played, so every time a song began, the floor was burst into cheers. Especially with popular songs such as "I Am Mine" and "Jeremy," the shouts got louder. Finally the band played "Go," the song I had been waiting for. Not only myself but everyone in the hall got excited. This was the last song before the encores but the audience came to life the most.

The band played 8 songs for two encores. They played even better than previous songs. The audience loved it that the band played the songs from the old albums such as "Small Town," "Daughter," and "Alive." I was really glad they played the songs from "Vs.," my first encounter with the band.

As written in David Lee's Fanview 1, the hall was pretty packed up to the third floor. When the band played the very last song, "Baba O'Riley," all the floors were lit up. I imagined Eddie wanted to see all the crowd so thats why he asked it. It was unusual for a rock concert but I think it was good because we felt a sense of becoming one... including the band, the fans and the staff.

As I write this, I am listening to the unmastered MP3 files from yesterday's performance. I am really waiting to the mastered Bootleg sent to me. This is a fantastic fan service. I can enjoy the show as many times as I want. I could find small details that I missed in the concert (like Eddie's murmuring "harakiri" just before starting Baba O'Riley). I really like to thank Pearl Jam for the wonderful show and their fan-caring spirit.
