I've got 3 words to describe this show: Unbelievable, Unbelievable, Unbelievable. Just amazing.

The day started early and we drove to OKC from Dallas. We got there around noon and there were about 15 or so people in the 10 Club line. We met some really cool people in the 10 Club line, including a guy named Jeremy who was attending his 49th show. And I also want to send out a HUGE thanks to the 10 Club for my 3rd row Mike-side tickets. Amazing seats.

On a side note, we went to the OKC bombing site memorial and we were walking back to the Ford Center on Robinson street and Mike passed us riding his bike. That was cool.

Anyways, on to the show. My anticipation for this show was that it was going to be just another average show. I mean come on, its Oklahoma, and only Pearl Jam can lure me across the TX/OK border. But I was proved WAY wrong. This turned out to be the best show of the 7 I've attended, hands down.

So we're walking into the arena when the doors open at 6ish. And holy crap, Corin and Carrie from Sleater-Kinney were hanging out in the concourse! We met them, and my friend had Carrie call his friend Troy in Florida who's a big SK fan and left a message on his machine. They were nice girls, very small girls, and very cute. And they rocked out on stage. The drummer was ON. And Carrie was really energetic.

I won't go into much detail, just the personal highlights for me. Long Road was a solid opener. I love this song. Then the Oklahoma improv was a nice touch. Dissident was as strong as ever. Mike ripped the crap out of the Even Flow solo yet again. 1/2 Full was amazing. Off He Goes is always a treat. Then a little later, Mike blew his rig, and we got to sing Happy Birthday to Ed's brother Christopher, and then Keely, the lighting person. Ed then asked if it was anybody elses birthday. I was screaming "Its mine, Eddie, its mine" but he was looking the other way. The day of the OKC show was my 25th birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better concert. Then after we sang happy b-day to Chris and Keely, I'll be damnedthey played Driftin. Then a rocking Get Right. Next Eddie said something about this ones off our first record, and its one we haven't played in a while, this song's called Deep. Everybody around us went freaking nuts. I am still shocked to this minute they played Deep. It was awesome. Then BLOOD! Woo hoo, I got Deep-Blood back-to-back. Encore break. Crowd just nuts.

They came back and played the ever so beautiful Better Man, followed by Daughter with the War tag. Eddie said that we didn't have to sing along if we didn't agree, and that he respected our opinions on the War. Crowd took him really well with the War tag, and nobody booed him at all. DTE was awesome and RVM, my favorite PJ song ever, was just off the charts. Stone was really into it playing on the ground during the bridge section. Encore break 2. Crowd even more nuts than break 1.

Alive. That's all I have to say. Alive. Yellow Ledbetter closed out this wonderful evening, and they gave me a GREAT birthday present by playing such an amazing show. I want to thank Pearl Jam for making it what it was, and also the 10 Club for my great seats.
