Well, what can I tell you, the show was amazing! Pearl Jam is playing better than ever, they were on FIRE! The crowd was totally connected with the band. I believe that the Pearl Jam Fan is something special, and after every show I am more convince of that. Many thanks to Ed, Mike, Stone, Jeff, Matt, Boom and all PJ Fans.

Keep on Rocking!

GofSTONE:

My wife (Jackie) and I made a Pearl Jam weekend this weekend. Friday in West Palm Beach, Saturday in Orlando, and Sunday in Tampa. We traveled 3 hours to West Palm Beach on Friday and made it to the Sound Advise Amphitheatre at 3 o clock when the Ten club window opened for fan club tickets. I meet some really cool fans in line. John (a British) who has seen Pearl Jam a lot of times. Two fans Mike and Derek (who play in a band called Awkward Silence who I will be seeing live soon.) and Mike's girlfriend who's name I can't remember (sorry). We got our fan club tickets. I got 7 row center Super good seats. Thanks to the Ten club. We returned later after checking into our hotel. Eddie came out to sing "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"as the place goes nuts. Ed introduces Sleater-Kinney. After Sleather-Kinney set. The stage is set for Pearl Jam. About 30 minutes or so later they take the stage. Long Road is the opener. And a great opener at that. Breakerfall to follow, Corduroy, Animal (as we count off 1 to 5 then 5 against 1.), Save You, Given to Fly, Cropduster, Even Flow with a lot of jumps from the guys. Slowed down with Small Town and Love Boat Captain. Ghost, Whipping, Untitled/MFC. A very cool You Are, a rocking 1/2 Full (Ed with Mirror in hand to ask the question "Who will save the world?", State of Love and Trust, Alive (which was total unexpected). Wow what a way to end the first set Mike McCready is a show/mad man. All the guys were so tight. UNBELIEVABLE!

Encore time. They came out rocking with Last Exit, then I am A Patriot, Better, Down - I am Mine B-side. Next is even more UNBELIEVABLE Glorified G (I think they have only played it like 2 or 3 times before. The best thing I have seen at a Pearl Jam concert ever. With the crowd totally worked up they Did the Evolution Baby! 2nd encore to come Daughter, Yellow Ledbetter (which I was hoping for). Mike just totally flowed on that song as the rest of the guys just hang out and watched him worked his magic. Last song was Baba O (Which I never heard live before). Eddie throw out a few tamborines. Matt throw out his sticks and John the guy next to me caught it. Thanks to My Wife and I (We blocked it down so he nabbed it. You still owe me one pal.) I thought Tampa 2000 was the best Pearl Jam show I ever saw. But I can honestly say after seeing 7 shows and being a loyal fan since '91. That West Palm Beach 2003 was the best show I ever seen them play. Thank you Pearl Jam. Keep on Rocking in the Free World.

Aaron DeGiovine:

Ok, well, here it goes, it was myself (Aaron DeGiovine) and my best friend Kieth Elsbree heading east on route 70 toward west palm beach from Arcadia Florida. Friday afternoon sunny and blue sky weather and I was just reeling in the countryside's vast citrus beauty and GREEN life. So after the two and a half hour drive we reach Coral Sky Amphitheatre. Nice venue, and pre show beers flow. Before you know it, the tape recorder is rolling. Such a reeling moment with long road as the opener since I flew to Tampa to see my best friend, drove from there to Arcadia, and on to West Palm. Breakerfall, Corduroy, Animal all very intense and right on, Mike hammering everything as usual. Nice to hear a good friday Given to Fly maybe symbolic or somethin like that. Love Boat Captain was right on and Ed even gave a highlight to his voice at the end with the statement "cant be said enough" very awesome and glad I got it on tape. Ghost, Whipping, Untitled/MFC very tight as usual. Actually Ghost was excellent live and the band played the songs from Riot Act to the T. Hearing You Are opened the song up completely for me, I liked it on the album, to hear it live though, its just a very fluid like song, flowing in and flowing out, great great addition to their set. Now I am gonna have to say hands down my favorite song from the two Florida shows I saw, and its because of the intensity it was played with, as well as the songs lyrics which advise to look to nature for some of the answers and comforts. 1/2 FULL, just phenomenal and the extension on this song at the end is so reaching out beyond the stratosphere. Quite the performance!

The rest of the show was filled with many of the classic Pearl Jam goodies, with Down as a very relieving and groovy song which was a very refreshing addition to the set. The show winded through with Better Man Glorified G and a very hyper speed Do The E, a kick ass way to end the second encore! The grand finale was an always improving Daughter with a sun in your venetian blinds Yellow Ledbetter, a very climactic point at a Pearl Jam show. The end I think to myself and advise Kieth that we should try to beat the herd and slowly make our way out to the car. Upon watching the last note fade and seeing it on the screen as I am just about to leave sight of it, and Kieth says, "he just switched 'em up," guitars that is! And on we rumble through Baba, a show that will always remain in my memory as well as my ear, thanks to the band for allowing the tape recorders, a personal sentiment to keep for years. I forgot to mention that we were on the lawn seat section and let me tell you, I rocked out to all the songs as if I was in the first row, just to be there, music in ear, solos on fire, and the moon, rollin round the world. Thanks guys for always rockin out!, and thanks Kieth for cartin' me all over Florida, your the best!
