The show before the show began in the blazing sun outside as the lucky ticket holders waited for hours for the doors to open. No hard tickets were printed for the show, so there was no way to sell tickets to anyone else. You either had to win the tickets off the radio station or be lucky enough to belong to the radio station fan club to get a shot at buying them. Watching more than a few folks walk around with tee-shirts or signs reading "I need one ticket" was funny and pitiful all at the same time. I don't think anyone was willing to part with their precious tickets for a stranger. There were no opening acts, no crazy radio DJ antics. The guys took to the stage shortly after 9:00 and treated us to a live version of more than half the new album. They sounded incredible on every song, but the crowd really responded to the older tunes. Although there was a "no moshing, no crowd surfing" rule in effect, some folks just couldn't resist when "Evenflow" started playing. Ed treated us to a solo of "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" and forgot the words after the second line. Funniest sentence of the evening... Ed saying "This is one of those times I want you to be loud and shut up at the same time." The second try worked out much better for him and for us. The set list overall was a mellow one with "Faithful" and "Sleight of Hand" as a few of the more mellow highlights. "Crazy Mary" got a great response towards the end of the show. A few folks in the crowd didn't seem to recognize the song until they got to the "Take a bottle drink it down" part and then the sing along began. Several encores ensued and I think most folks thought the show was over after "F*ckin' Up" and quite a few people left. That was just fine with me because I got a much better view when they came out one last time for "Yellow Ledbetter." Funny how everyone tries to sing along to that one, but the words seem to change every time I hear it live. I've seen Pearl Jam live seven times now (Number eight will be tonight in Tampa!!) and I can't begin to say how incredible it is to see them in a venue where I usually see bands who are just starting out. This show was really special and I hope the band knows their fans will never forget they made this stop in Orlando just for us!! Thank you!!

This was... the coolest PJ concert I have ever been to. Usually I'm up in section 6012 row Q because I can never get through. FINALLY I was right there! I think it's great when such a huge band puts on a show for 2000 people. What made it even better was that everyone there was a mad Pearl Jam fan b/c of how hard you had to try to get tickets. It was amazing to see them up close... You could feel the energy. I was standing in front of Stone, who kept turning his back to the audience and it was still exciting. Don't get me wrong, Stone rocks...those blue socks... it was just odd to stare at his back half the show. Enough about that though; I liked how they didn't play all the typical songs that were on the radio station every day of the HOB contest. It was nice to hear Spin the Black Circle, and Yellow LedBetter, and Crazy Mary! And they rocked out on Rearviewmirror for like 10 minutes... all 4 of them playing guitar at once...it was amazing. I hope they release some kind of CD or video of this show because I will definitely buy it!

Wow, what an amazing show. It was absolutely unbelievable. My girlfriend and I were about 4 people back from the stage right in front of Mike. Its the closest I've ever been. It was so sweet. The show was just unbelievable. I wont go into to every song, but the set list was diverse and just unreal. My personal highlights were the great versions of Faithful and my all time favorite Crazy Mary. And of course Ed's solo with the ukulele, doing a Pete Townshend cover. WOW. I have to also say alive sounded just awesome and so did once. Everything sounded awesome, but those are ones that really stick in my mind. I want to thank Pearl Jam for just a kick a$$ show. We met some great people in line and had a great night. The only thing I would have done differently was have more jammers and less yuppies who didn't really care about the music. There were a few people around us who were real jerks and didn't really care about who was playing. They we rude, and it was a lot different from the last show I was at, when I was surrounded by my fellow 10 clubbers. But once the boys hit the stage, it was all worth it. What a great night. I'm sorry to all my fellow jammers who couldn't make it, but take solace in the fact that were a handful of diehards on the floor sweating our asses off screaming the lyrics to every song. Peace

Thanks for the opportunity only knew the new songs from the album but live it's a different thing, great sound, nice choices (Deep was beautiful). Ed was in great form, Mike always energetic and the rest of the band just enjoying what they do best....playing! They played a lot of new songs, Loveboat Captain was great, a few classics too! I love the all show, last time I saw them was 3 years ago in Lisbon (what a show), and now a live broadcasting. Thanks guys! Hope we see u again in Portugal, keep going! see u later! Daniel Sampaio
