Joe Cooney:

Hey you guys its 9:30 am just woke up in my hotel room. What an unbelievable night. I drove the 3-hour drive from San Luis Obispo and arrived at Shoreline at noon. The TC line was not bad at all. I met some cool people yesterday from the Synergy board. I met vedhead27, beachdweller, then these two gals ones a teacher and the other is jobless but her man takes care of her. Well, the show then...all I have to say is WOW.

First song...
LONG ROAD- a great opener since I have never heard it live. The crowd was intense and the band was feeding off of us.
DTE- what a kick ass set list that began rocking hard with this, always a crowd pleaser.
ANIMAL-now the crowd is going nuts. Everyone was dancing in their seats as I was;)
SAVE YOU- Mikey was going off, Ed was dancing, even Stoney was hoping around.
(The crowd was so loud at this show. I hope that everyone read my post before the show to make this show the loudest)
GREEN DISEASE- what a rocking song that got me going crazy along with the other 23,000!!!!!!!!!!!
GRIEVANCE- they kept throwing us bone after bone, rocker after rocker.
I AM MINE- first song that chilled everyone out but what I mean by chill is no jumping just screaming.
YOU ARE- damn I was hoping for this one, the light effects and the dances everyone was doing for this one, excellent. I know I was grooving since this song is one of their best.
EVENFLOW- that's all that needs to be said!!!!
NOT FOR YOU- the band was so animated tonight and this is a song I haven't heard live since 1995 San Jose. I went nuts, man what a kick ass version, !!!!!!!!!!!!!
CORDUROY- craziness
HABIT- nice to hear some No Code
DAUGHTER- very rocking crowd, I was arm in arm swaying back and forth in my section.
THUMBING MY WAY- great song, but I needed to pee bad
PRESENT TENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Finally I have been waiting for this song for ages, I was hysterical with PJ passion.
1/2 FULL- song is still growing on me, but the band enjoys this one, now so will I ;)
INSIGNIFICANCE- Ed starts off facing MATT and the band loads this one up
GO- great first set closer. The crowd noise was deafening.

The first set was unbelievable, came out rocking, not that many slow songs, but I was happy as Hell
1st Encore:
LBC- what a beautiful song in MTN VIEW. Did I tell you about the clear skies and warm weather
SMALL TOWN- crowd sang louder than ED, awesome
BETTERMAN- one of the best versions ever, Ed let us sing the whole first part, I'm talking all the way until the rest of the band kicks in. Simply amazing I mean it
CRAZY MARY- BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, man is this his song to jam or what. Around 10 mins, MIKE ran over and was behind the keyboards jamming with him, they were trading off who would jam more. Ed and Stone, and Jeff and Matt incredible tonight.
ALIVE/PORCH- back to back and what a way to end the 1st encore with two great TEN SONGS. During Alive the crowd was insane throwing their arms in the air, hitting every beat with precision. PORCH, Ed went into the crowd to shake hands, Mike was at the far end playing with the first row seats. Then at the end Ed was standing on the guardrail with 20 people surrounding him while he was shaking hands and singing.

2nd Encore:
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS- cool song, Ed loves it
BU$HLEAGUER- man this was cool, the crowd really approved of this one, cool song
FUCKIN UP- always wanted to hear this live, great closer

notes- Ed was talking about free speech, he mentioned the DIXIE CHICKS, boos galore happened, then Ed smiling said, "if you boo the Dixie chicks, your all pussies...classic Ed"
Stone was jumping around, dancing, jamming with his head.
Jeff had many jumps and smiles tonight
MIKEY- that's all that needs to be said, man what an incredible guitarist, love you baby
MATT was on fire hitting every beat, he is such a blessing for this band
BOOM- love the hair, the goatee, and the keys, great addition, hope your around for a while.

To all the friends I made and hopefully see at IRVINE #2, I love you all and THANK YOU TC AND PJ for making this a truly emotional night for all of us, seats were great for my first tc seats:) KADDIKAT AND RED MOSQUITO where were you guys :), meet me in IRVINE please!! Thanks KAT and SEA and Tim, and whoever else I forgot. I'm still in awe, loudest crowd I have seen at a PJ concert. One for the ages and to the guy and his gal from IDAHO who where at Montana, nice to meet you and keep on jammin:), we walked in together :)
