What can one say except that the show was AWESOME!!!! To bad I can't say the same for security. We arrived at the amphitheatre about at 7:00 pm, got in line to get my 10C tickets then headed in to see the show. The only problem was that there was a line about a mile long (no kidding) to get in. This was caused by security only having a few lines in and everyone was being patted down. I was pissed!!! We completely missed the opening band. Got to our seats 5 minutes before PJ came on stage.

"Of the Girl" started the night off right. Great mood song. When "Last Exit" came on, it was a preclude to the energy that Mike and Stone had during the entire show. Mike was a crazy man, running all over the stage and Stone was not his usual calm self. He was bobbing and weaving with every guitar lick.

Highlights of the show to me were "Wishlist" with its improv tag and Mirror Ball, "I Am A Patriot" and its musical re-work by Matt and Ed, and "Crazy Mary" with the jams by Boom and Mike.

Awesome show. Can't wait to see and hear the next couple of show that I will be attending. Thanks PJ and 10C for a memorable night. Can't wait to get the CD.

Bill Strom:

From the opening notes of "Of The Girl" I knew it was going to be a great show. The crowd was warming up as the bass drum hits filled everyone's chests and Eddie took on the appearance of a shaman dancing and exorcising some foreign demon. "Last Exit" and "Save You" were strong and beautiful. "Given to Fly" and "Love Boat Captain" never showed more pertinence, but it was "Gimme Some Truth" and "I Am Mine" that changed my live and affirmed that I am doing the right thing and that I am not crazy. That's what the night was all about to me, affirmation. When Eddie sang that "we're all different behind the eyes/there's no need to hide" it hit me and watching Ed sing it I knew he meant it. I couldn't help weeping at the beauty. Affirmation.

When Eddie told us he loved us at the end of "Wish List" I believed it. I had been begging that they would play Immortality and of course they wouldn't let me down and it was a beautiful moment. I thought of Kurt. After an unbelievable "Whipping" and "Deep" and a wonderful "Thumbing My Way" and "Black" was the incredibly stellar version of "RVM" with the middle jam of amazing feedback you couldn't help but be moved by it. Next was "You Are" and they nailed it. During "Blood" with everyone clapping perfectly on time we finally got to Eddie and he slammed his mic stand to our powerful count. After what I believe is the best version of "Crazy Mary" ever with Boom and Mike having a blast and soloing as if for the last time I became shocked, they were playing Baba O' Riley (which I was also hoping for) and everyone sang so beautifully I wanted to hug and shake hands with everyone in the crowd. At some point, before the second encore I believe, Ed told the a story of how he met Matt at this very place and he was right "there" (pointing stage right) which he later told was his favorite side. He also explained that they were past curfew and it would be 5 grand to continue playing "pass around the hat" he joked. As it looked as if everything were winding down (seeing as how the lights came on for Baba) everyone was sure the show was over but no, no, no with a quick "one more?" from Ed we got Yellow Ledbetter and Matt had to come running back midsong.

In closing, I feel like this was one of the best shows I have ever seen and the only show I have ever cried at. It was so moving to see the conviction in Eddie's eyes and there was so much love in that place it was unbelievable. I will never forget this experience and I know no one else there will either.

Corey Couch:

That was my first Pearl Jam show and I must say it is right up there with the U2 concert I went to two years ago. It probably would have been my favorite show had I had better seats and didn't have to sit next to some drunk dude who was more interested with impressing his girlfriend and her friends than watching the band. Despite that though the band was awesome. Eddie's voice was unreal, even after two and a half hours he still sounded strong. The sound quality of the band sounded great as well. I could close my eyes and it sounded almost exactly like the studio version of the songs. Also I am really happy that the guys played a lot of songs from Riot Act. I really love that album and I really think that it has been underrated by so called music experts and even Pearl Jam fans. Throughout the concert most of the audience knew the words to the songs from Ten, Vs. and Vitalogy which is great. But I thought it was a shame that they didn't know the lyrics from the songs off Riot Act. Riot Act proved to me that Pearl Jam is still a very relevant act in rock n roll. And last nights performance was definitely a breath of fresh air. Thank you guys and please keep on touring and making albums. Corey Couch
