Coming from Ann Arbor Michigan to see the show, I was very shocked to see
how small this venue was for Pearl Jam. I couldn't believe they were playing
in this high school gym size building.
Eddie surprised everyone when he began the nights performances with his
opening solo songs. Even before the opening acts like DCFC. He played "I Am A
Patriot" and "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" which were great songs.
The show continued to rock towards the end of the night. Eddie playing some
damn good songs like, "Better Man", and "I Believe In Miracles", and not to
forget "Even Flow," with McCready going wild on the solos.
The show was packed with stunning surprises. The first unexpected surprise
was Tim Robbins playing on stage his political songs in his bad Gob Roberts.
Then the second surprise came within the first encore. Neil Young came out
to play "Harvest Moon" with Vedder! The second encore continued to have
Pearl Jam and Neil Young jamming with each other. Pearl Jam and Neil Young
ended the night with "Rockin In The Free World." Such a great finale.
I felt after seeing this performance that I went into a time warp back into
the early nineties. The performance was no different in how they played back
then. It was a night I will never forget. This show will probably be the
best show I'll ever and will see in years to come. Thanks to Pearl Jam and
Neil Young for such an excellent show. I'll never forget it.

Wow!! What an incredible evening. When Ed left the stage after his pre-opener set he said "we are just getting started," he was not kidding Gob Roberts caught the crowds attention with their dedication of "Drugs Stink" to Rush Limbaugh and Death Cab For Cutie had a very REM-esque sound and stage presence. After more-than-adequate openers, We were more than ready for another standout show. Little did we know the surprise we were in for. I was personally waiting for the acoustic encore set they have been doing every night so far. Mike made Black his own with a furious solo at the end that had him kicking his chair away and leaping off the monitors. After a brief moment to rearrange chairs my jaw dropped open as Neil Young took the stage joined by his wife, Pegi, and Ed.
A truly beautiful version followed. I told the couple next to me that he better not get out of here without doing RITFW. Instead we got a full-out Neil Young mini-set with Peter Frampton joining in. As he swaggered across the stage as only Neil Young can do, Ed kinda took a step back to let Neil try to melt the strings of his guitar. He played every note as if his life depended on it. Meanwhile Mike was going ballistic as he ran completely around the stage like a proton out of control. I have always wanted to witness one of those true transcendental Rock&Roll moments. Tonight, thanks to Pearl Jam, I can say I did. See you in Saint Louis

Wow !!!! That was my fifth PJ show and by far the best yet. The energy in the arena was amazing. The first set was smoking - Stone and Ed were trying to out do themselves and all the guys were having fun onstage, which made it more fun to be there. The second set was acoustic and that too was amazing. Small Town and Black were unbelievable. Ed had mentioned earlier in the night that "some shit is gonna happen here tonight." We soon found out what he was talking about when he introduced Pegi and Neil Young. The arena was insane and most around me couldn't believe what we were seeing. Ed, Pegi, and Neil all sang Harvest Moon (acoustic) - it was beautifully done, almost as if Neil was singing it to Pegi. Ed jammed out with Pegi while watching Neil and the rest of the band do a great version of Cortez. Then to finish it off they all joined in (Frampton) and played Rockin in the Free World, Stone and Neil were just going off trying to out play each other and that was great to watch. Rockin was on fire, the guys must have jammed for 15-20 minutes, the arena was shaking from all the energy. What a way to finish the night. Going to the show tonight in Grand Rapids and I can't wait to see the guys again, it should be hot.

I want to start off by saying I have seen many Pearl Jam shows in my life but last nights was the ultimate show. Ed was so animated last night it looked like he was having so much fun. I started watching Mike play and It was like he hadn't taken the break from the Riot Act tour. He shredded through Even Flow, Alive and Black. I was truly in awe. After Black was played they set 3 chairs up in the center of the stage I was so confused. I had been looking at the set lists and had noticed that they would play about 5 acoustic songs and then play about five more songs and the show would end. Ed comes back out and announces that someone had come to see them and come to see us as well. It was none other then the "Grandfather of Grunge," Mr. Neil Young and his wife Pegi. At this time I am freaking out knowing it will end with PJ and Neil doing RITFW!!!!!!! I was lucky enough to see PJ and Heart close out the Vegas show with that but now Neil... too unbelievable. They sat down played Harvest Moon. Then I looked to Mikes side of the stage and noticed someone else had joined us with a guitar. They played All Along the Watch tower by Dylan then Ed announced the other guest was Peter Frampton. Now I was about to fall out I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I looked back at Mike and Jeff they were feeding off the energy that Neil and Peter had brought and were going crazy on the guitars and bass. I want to Thank all of you for the greatest Show I've ever seen. Thanks Gob Roberts, Death Cab, Pearl Jam, Peter and Neil for a night of legendary status!!!!!!!!!
