I feel so lucky and privileged to be able to see a show like this. I received my tickets through the Ten Club and was 25 rows back but thankfully we had isle seats. It was a small venue but the place was packed. Death Cab did a great job opening up (better then Sparta!). The lights went down at about 9:30 and Pearl Jam came on. The place was going nuts and the energy was amazing. They opened up with Long Road and to my surprise the crowd knew every word. Corduroy was next and of course is always a crowd favorite. Highlights of the first set had to be Better Man, Wishlist, and Even Flow. They ended their electric set with Alive which was amazing. It was nice and to see "I Believe In Miracles" played electric. The opened their small Acoustic Set with Thumbing my Way which was nice. They ended the acoustic set with the best version of black I have ever heard. The crowd was going insane and sang every word back to Ed. He held that note in the last chorus forever!!!

Now this is when the energy at the show went off the wall. I saw them prepping the stage with extra mics so I know someone else was here tonight. That's when my heart dropped as I saw Neil and his wife take the stage. I couldn't believe me eyes. I snuck up front and center and was literally 5 feet away. Pearl Jam, Neil, and his wife played a beautiful version of Harvest Moon.

Just when I thought the show couldn't get any better...

Peter Frampton walks up on stage. They all rock out to All Along the Watchtower. Neil came on and stole the show. No one in the audience could believe what was going on. Everyone next sat there in shock, this is rock and roll history!! Act of Love and Cortez the Killer followed. Then I heard Stone start pounding an E chord and hit the D and I knew it...Rocking in the Free World! The lights came on and Ed came running back on stage and place blew up as everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs to every lyric of RITFW. At the end you can see Matt Cameron really getting into it and Neil can still rock harder then ever.

The energy of the crowd was like nothing I have ever seen. After the show I still couldn't get over what I just saw. This was the best Pearl Jam concert I have ever seen. They can rock harder then ever!! For all you out there who think Pearl Jam is gettin old...shame on You. This performance will always be remembered in pearl jam history and I just thank god I was lucky enough to take part in it.

Thanx Pearl Jam

OSTROWM:

I went to this concert with my two brothers and a friend from work. We started tailgating at about 5:30PM in the Toledo Sports Arena parking lot. Lots of fans were in line waiting to get in and see Ed's early appearance. Not us, we were going to get our tailgating in before the regular show.

We ended up catching Death Cabs last two songs--they were OK.

I knew this venue would be small--but I didn't realize how small until we were inside. It was like a big high school auditorium. Yes!!!! how awesome to see PJ in such a small venue. And everyone there was a huge PJ fan--everyone was so excited for this show. The crowd was nuts the entire show--by far the best crowd I've ever witnessed.

The encores with Neil and Frampton were sick; I don't have words to describe it--simply amazing. The best rock concert I've ever been to.

Watchtower was amazing--better than DMB's version (Hendrix still takes the cake). Neil and Mike and Stone were going insane on the guitar. Then came Act of Love with Frampton joining in. I'm not really a Frampton fan; but this man can play the guitar. Act of Love isn't one of my favorites off Mirrorball--but it was fun to hear. Then came Cortez the Killer--a really slow trippy performance. Wow, Frampton, Young, Gossard and McCready jamming out together. It was unbelievable. Cortez the Killer was so amazing. Lastly, the best RITFW ever ever played. Mike and Neil started out with an extended guitar duo--and by the end of the song the four masterful guitar players on stage were lighting it up--I've never heard such blazing guitars before--way too much talent in the house!!!

You know what's funny--some people were complaining about Neil Young's helping close the show--but they were by far in the minority. I think almost everyone in there knew they were witnessing one of the all time great performances.

Joe M:

All I can say is wow! It's 2 days later and I'm back at work, but the smile has not left my face from Toledo. It was my 15th show ever and my 4th in 5 nights but definitely the most memorable. I had my best seats ever - row 2 in front of Mike and can't explain how it felt to be that close to the band I've followed for all these years.

There are so many moments from Saturday that will stick with me forever: walking into the tiny arena and being absolutely floored where my seats were and realizing I'm going to be like 10 feet from the band, meeting the really great fans sitting around me especially the awesome couple who flew from Seattle for the show, Ed coming out during the preset and hearing and feeling the crowd singing along to Patriot and Hide Your Love Away, and hearing the first notes to Long Road and just knowing that the show was getting started. Hail, Hail was awesome as always and I still have the words to the American in Me running through my head. Thanks so much Pearl Jam for introducing me to yet another song I may never had known. I Believe in Miracles was unbelievable and seeing up close Mike going nuts during Even Flow and Alive was a once in a lifetime moment I wish all jammers get to experience firsthand.

The acoustic set was unbelievable. Seeing and feeling Elderly Woman and Black blew me away. Then to top things off Neil and Pegi Young came out. And then, right there I knew I was living a moment. Something I had always wanted to see and there it was really happening in real life just a few feet away from me. And the night just kept building and building with the addition of Peter Frampton. Seeing three legends on one stage was too much for me. I was just standing there dumbfounded saying, "Wow" during Neil's solo on Cortez the Killer and Mike saw me and said, "I know" and grabbed a polaroid and started taking pictures. It was just insane to have all that talent in one place at the same time and for such a great cause.

And finally the end came with an unbelievable RITFW. I still have no voice, but a huge smile on my face and a lifetime's worth of memories from that show. Thanks to everyone involved: Tim Robbins, DCFC, Peter Frampton, Neil and Pegi Young, and thank you as always to Pearl Jam for never ceasing to amaze their fans.
