Tim Lloyd:

The battle ground state got a break from all the jawing of the debates to have a wonderful night of music and free speech. This is why Pearl Jam means so much to people, free speech, and love for music. It was so nice to see friends from past shows here in the heat of the Florida sun. I had a first timer with me to see the show. She didn't know why this band has such a huge following? She would soon find out. I have never been to Silver Spurs Arena before and was I in for a surprise. It seemed small to most of the places I have seen them in. I told Tracy (PJ newbie) that we would see Ed do his solo before Gob Roberts came on. And there he was "the man of the hour" comes out and gives us a little Cat Stevens and Beatles before the show. Great job Ed.

I had always wondered what the rallies of the 60's were like and we got a taste of that. Masters of War was great Tim. Death Cab was killer. Great sound guys. You showed there's still great music coming from the pacific north west. The roadies cleaned up and got the fires lit for the party to begin.

Last Exit got every ones blood boiling and it didn't stop. With hard hitting tunes like Animal, and Save You, Tracy was starting to understand why I act this way. I could not stop jumping all around the place. Ed brings out the mirror for 1/2 Full and Given to Fly - always a crowd pleaser to all of us here in the sunshine state. I saw the big disco ball above and told Tracy it's Wishlist. She was freaked out how after every song I could figure out bye the guitars that were brought out on stage. In My Tree was nice to hear. A cover with the group Death Cab for Cutie took the stage and did great.

The lights were dimmed for an acoustic set. Stripped down to the bone and Lukin for starters. Man talk about a surprise. I called my wife at home and had her put the phone up to her belly so my soon to be son could hear a live show. I Am Mine and Nothingman had us singing as well as Last Kiss. Black was a tear jerker as always. Ed tells us its the last night of the tour and we are leaving it all on the stage tonight. Man they were not kidding. Corduroy, Do the Evolution and a little speech by Ed telling us how the election is like evolution. Better Man with the tag and Daughter with a little Ramones, HEY HO LETS GO!! It was time for a little Ramones tribute which is always in order (we miss you guys). Tim Robbins popped out to do a little singing on The New World tune. CCR Fortunate Son (could this be a song for Jeb Bush)? ALIVE, YES!!!! My seats went from 3rd sec Stones side to 10 rows from the front cause we all knew what was coming. Rocking in the Free World with everyone singing their butts off. The band showed their face one last time to have Mike play an amazing Yellow Ledbetter. Gang you make it proud to be alive in the U.S.A.

See you next tour and Tracy you now understand.
See you on the flip side.

P.S. TOASTER FOR A GRAMMY?

Adam Zions:

There is only one word to describe Pearl Jam's show in Kissimmee...magical. I never thought another crowd could be so involved and receptive as was the crowd in Seattle on the last stop on the Binaural tour, but the fans in Kissimmee proved me wrong, very wrong. It seemed that everyone was singing with every single song. If it hadn't been for Ed's amazing voice, we would have drowned him out. He even mentioned they might have to try and get this show on tape somehow because of our "fucking beautiful" singing. The guys were on fire, ripping through loud and intense versions of songs like Corduroy (loudest I've ever heard it), Do the Evolution, and I Believe in Miracles (side note: Ed was sporting a yellow "Johnny Ramone" t-shirt). They came on stage and immediately busted into the set with a ferocious barrage of seven songs, and finally took a breather with Wishlist, which included the "I wish I was the president" outro (which had some really nice lyrics).

Highlights of the night were: Corduroy, I am Mine, heart-wrenchingly beautiful versions of Nothingman and Black (at the end of the latter, Ed brought out Susan Sarandon and they both shared a little dance which was so sweet), Even Flow, 1/2 Full, and RITFW (everyone was on stage for this one it seemed, and Jeff was wearing a fake red, white and blue mohawk). All of the guys seemed very jubilant all night long. Ed and Stone were grinning like ghosts for most of the night, Mike was like a bouncy ball, running and bouncing around the stage all night. Jeff was jumping around, and Matt was pounding the hell out of the skins. The best part about the show was that there was so much communal energy flowing between the crowd and band. It was like a continual loop, we were feeding them, they were feeding us, and so on and so on. It was a great finale to a very important tour, one that won't be forgotten.

First off let me just say another kick ass show from the boys in Pearl Jam. It took me a little while to get in to the Arena so by the time everyone went through security I had missed Eddie's solo before Gob Roberts took the stage I heard Eddie say a few words and walked off the stage. I was really surprised how much I liked Gob Roberts. Tim Robbins is really a good front man. Death Cab for Cutie was a little too mellow for me. But still good.

The boys in Pearl Jam took the stage about 9:00. Rockin into Last Exit, Animal everyone counting as usual and a lot for high jumping from Jeff and Eddie. Save You, The American in Me, and Eddie said some words about voting which got the crowd in an uproar. A really great Even Flow, as well as Given to Fly. By the time they went into Wishlist Eddie's wine bottle got the best of him when he jumbled the lyrics. Everyone got a great laugh from it. In My Tree was next. Timeless Melody which was kinda nice. Then Rearviewmirror.

The 1st encore was a great acoustic set. Eddie starts talking about playing slower love songs and stuff and the jam into a fast Lukin (That was a first for me!). Then they really did go into those slower songs. I Am Mine, Last Kiss, Nothingman, and Black. I thought Eddie was crying when they were playing Black but he was blowing his nose. Second encore Pearl Jam came back and Eddie said that they were all just talking backstage and that this was going to be the longest show of the tour and the damn place went mad then they started off with g great Corduroy, Do the Evolution (baby!). Stone was just tearing up the solo on that on. Then Better Man which the crowd sang most of the song which Eddie said was "Fucking Beautiful." Then Daughter, Eddie dedicated the next song the Johnny Ramone whose birthday it would have been. I Believe in Miracles. "The next song, is an X song," Eddie announced to the crowd, as he also introduced Tim Robbins to the stage. Then Fortunate Son by Creedence. Another awesome version of Alive. 3rd encore R.I.T.F.W. with the guys from Death Cab and Gob Roberts as they all drank Champagne which Eddie spit out and went back to his wine bottle. And a favorite closer with Mike just totally flowing on Yellow Lebetter. Then the boys huddled up and took their bows.

Thanks and Pearl Jam, staff and crew for another wonderful show.
