Well, what can I say apart from WOW, Pearl Jam what more do you need? Let me tell you about the night. After being frisked at the doors and having my camera confiscated I arrived inside the venue and my God was it small!

First stop was the bar, beer is always a good idea even when you do have to bankrupt yourself to afford it (£3.20 for a measly can of Carlsberg poured into a plastic cup) No wonder Eddie brought his own wine.

Nothing though, and I mean nothing was going to dampen my spirits after waiting so long and traveling so far (from Lancashire) for this opportunity. Beer finished it was time to start edging into the crowd to get a vantage view point, there is nothing worse than standing in anticipation waiting for a performance to start.

The lights begin to dim and a ripple of applause and cheering roars from the crowd the moment is here. The band starts of with "World Wide Suicide" and quickly goes into "Life Wasted" it's obvious from the crowd's reaction that most people here have already heard these new songs.

After playing 3 more new tracks an oldie "Even Flow" really gets the audience jumping and going wild, Eddie Vedder is as charismatic as ever having fun with the audience and truly looking as though he is really having a good time, after all it is six years since they last played in England as Eddie pointed out. Jeff and Matt lay down a fantastic foundation and bass line for the performance while Mike and Stone's melodic guitar performance is truly amazing.

The set, although being 15 songs long goes all too quickly, and the band leaves the stage after playing classic "Why Go."

The 1st encore comprised of older material was another 4 songs then once again they leave the stage.

2nd encore begins with "Comatose," after messing up the intro and Mike stepping forward to take the blame, the song goes down a storm and is so alive and energetic. A sing along follows with "Leaving Here" and after an astounding version of "Yellow Ledbetter" it's time for them to come together centre stage and take their bows and depart the stage when Eddie realises he still has a little wine left so wants to play another song. Back on stage Stone doesn't seem to realise and has to be called back on.

The final track of the night is a breath taking version of "Alive" which ends with Mike playing his guitar behind his head and Eddie swinging his microphone around his head and generally having a good time.

The moment over we left the venue and noticed a group of people stood at one of the back entrances next to a couple of Mercedes with blacked out windows, after deciding it was a little chilly outside and being quite parched we decided to find a bar for last orders.

That done and now feeling slightly warmed by the Alcohol we walked back past the venue and realised that Pearl Jam were about ready to leave. A security guard stuck his head around the door to inform that Eddie was gonna stop for a quick chat but didn't have time to sign autographs or pose for pictures. As they walk through I managed to shake hands with Matt, Jeff, Mike and Stone then wait for Eddie to make his way across. I shook hands with him and got a quick hug which just made my night the best and my first trip to London the most amazing experience ever.

Over all I have to say that Peal Jam are and always will be the best live performance anyone could ever wish to see, even after 16 years the energy and freshness still remains and hopefully will do for a long time to come.

Lastly a huge thank you to the guys for making it the best and probably most memorable moment in my life.

Amazing!! The guys are back with some seriously rocking tunes! They kicked off with World Wide Suicide which is just amazing live...a tune if ever there was one meant for being played on stage. They then followed through with 4 or 5 new songs which are seriously edgy and rocking tunes! The band were clearly enjoying their time in this coziest of venues. I was positioned front row dead centre in front of Ed. The energy and vibe that was coming of that stage will live with me forever. The lads were connecting with the crowd in a very personal way. During Why Go I looked back at a guy on someone's shoulders blowing a kiss to Ed who acknowledged the gesture by catching the kiss. There was a really special connection going on here between the band and fans.

Of all the new songs they played I have to say the one that struck me most was Comatose...a great great song! ... Man of the Hour was a little beauty and Porch will never disappoint me live...this version was not far off the quality of what we witnessed on MTV Unplugged (remember Ed marking his arm with the words "pro Choice"?!) They finished off with Alive!!! WOOOWWWWW!

I traveled over from Brussels for this gig...I just got home and can't stop reliving the concert in mind it was simply amazing!!! PJ fans you are warned...the band is ready to give out some seriously rocking vibes for this upcoming tour!

On a personal note, last night's show just reminds me of why PJ's music has been a daily part of my life over the last 15 years. These guy's are something else and produce music of a quality that is simply impossible to describe!! As always the spirit among fellow fans was amazing...a true community with everyone just happy to share this love we have for Pearl Jam.
