The Asian portion of Pearl Jam's world tour kicked off in Japan in Sendai on 2/18! They played the Budokan (approx. 12,000) in Tokyo on 2/20 and a show in Osaka on the 21st. The set list at the Budokan was: Release, Last Exit, Spin The Black Circle, Tremor Christ, Corduroy, 1:50, (new song!) Even Flow, Glorified G, Daughter, Whipping, Immortality, Alive, Satan's Bed, Go, Animal, Porch, First encore: RVM, Black, Jeremy, Blood, Second encore: Elderly Woman..., Yellow Ledbetter, Indifference.Pearl Jam is now in China and we can expect them back in the U.S. at the end of March some time after they tour in Australia and make their last stop in New Zealand.

We can't wait for the June and August summer tour! With the exception of Labor Day, no dates have been set in STONE. Ticket distribution ideas are still being worked out. What? You say you can't wait that long to hear Pearl Jam? Well have no fear, upcoming projects include: the Home Alive compilation album with music by Pearl Jam, a song on Mike Watt's album, Ball-Hog or Tugboat, and a song on the soundtrack for a movie called Basketball Diaries. The song is called Catholic Boy and features poet Jim Carroll on vocals.While we are all waiting for the summer months to come around, we can kick back and listen to our Pearl Jam CDs or our miscellaneous PJ material...the next best thing to seeing a Pearl Jam show. The guys don't mind fans taping their live shows. (They don't go hunting for smuggled-in tape recorders.) Pearl Jam makes records...anything else is up to the fans! There are no plans for a taper's section at upcoming Pearl Jam shows.
Is it Hard To Imagine Eddie spitting grapes at the photographers at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony...?? He said there might be a food fight with Ticketmaster because some smart ass put their tables next to each other at the show! Pearl Jam won't be at the Grammy Awards on March 1 so if Ticketmaster is seated in the auditorium, they won't have to worry about a food fight there!
PEARL Rumor: Can you confirm or deny that PJ will play Yankee Stadium Labor Day weekend. ~It's all over NY radio and newspapers that PJ will play Yankee Stadium. I just heard on a local radio station (WDRE) this morning that Pearl Jam and Neil Young are planning a concert for Labor Day weekend in New York City! This was reported in the New York Post, taken from some trade publication spokesman.
PEARL Rumor: One date that I think is set in stone here in Seattle and that is over Labor Day weekend at a Seattle Festival called Bumbershoot. That is what the Seattle Times reported Kelly Curtis saying.
PEARL Rumor: Aside from the Neil Young collaboration we can also expect a 2-CD Set of B-sides, unreleased and live material... Included are things like Yellow Ledbetter, Footsteps and The Part Where I Play The Pope...

Q: What's the difference between the Ten Club and Vitalogy Health Club?
The fan club has 17,896 members in the U.S. as of this week. As many of you already know the fan club single is late this year. Since it is the '94 single all those who were members in '94 will receive it sometime in spring or early summer. If you joined the Ten/VHC after January 1, 1995 you most likely won't receive the '94 single.

PEARL Rumor: What about the rumor of a new album coming out in June?
JAM Fact: It is too early now to speculate about a new album, but you never know with the Pearl Jam guys....we know how creative they are.
JAM Fact: There are NO plans to play Yankee Stadium.

Q: What happened to the home phone number Eddie gave out on Self Pollution radio?
A: Originally the phone company disconnected the number due to the large volume of calls received. The number was then reconnected and some fans did get through. The number has since been disconnected permanently.
A: There will be no sheet music.
A: The Ten Club and Vitalogy Health Club are the same. For those of you who received the Vitalogy Health Club's newsletter #7 check out page 1. Here's a little blurb from there: "the Ten Club, being in need of a change is currently being subtitled The Vitalogy Health Club for the time being...don't get confused it's still P.J.'s one and only fan club."
