SPRING is almost here! CHANGE is in the air. We are getting closer to a new season of Pearl Jam happenings. The new album, side projects, east coast tour and the first hint of another live radio broadcast to come!
Give Me Live PJ Or Give Me...Pearl Jam's 1996 shows will most likely be in the Fall but there is still a possibility of some Summer appearances...nothing definite to announce there yet...stay tuned. They'd really like to visit the east coast first so we've got our hopeful fingers crossed that those arrangements are going to happen.
This Is A Joke, Right? This rumor just won't die, so here goes again... Pearl Jam's new album was not refused by Epic, Sony, David Letterman, and/or Martians.
Tones & Rhythms...Pearl Jam is recording in a Chicago studio right now and they're still planning to rock our summer with the release of their fourth album! We get many questions because people hear Pearl Jam songs on the radio and don't know how to find them. Pearl Jam has been recording single tracks for a variety of projects. They recorded Leaving Here an old Holland/Dozier/Holland tune on the Home Alive project. Eddie did Face of Love and Long Road with Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on the Dead Man Walking soundtrack. There's the Merkinball single and soon there will be another song on a project for the Surfrider Foundation, an organization that works to protect the world's waves and beaches. Pearl Jam supports that cause and will have a song on a benefit record tentatively titled MOM.
Surfin' The Tube...For those who were teased by the brief Eddie Vedder appearance on the David Letterman show, fear not! At some point, the whole band will be appearing on Letterman.Um...we're told that Pearl Jam is still sort of working on a home video and/or a PBS special. Other sort of information is not available at this time. Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo, WHYYYYYYYY!!Q: When will Pearl Jam do another radio show like Self Pollution or Atlanta?A: Soon.
Q: Does anyone have any info on the disk that Jeff worked on with Robbie Robb (Tribe After Tribe) and Doug Pinnick (King's X)? I know the album is finished, but nobody seems to know a thing about it...hum?!
Q: Is Bumrush (w/Mike McCready) gonna release an album? I'm dying to hear Mike and the others on some punk rock stuff.
Q: Is there a Pearl Jam song by the name Havoc? or is that Habit? Is it a Mike Watt song?
Q: The latest issue of Broken Arrow (the Neil Young fanzine) stated that Neil performed an overdub on the Pearl Jam Xmas single (specifically, History Never Repeats). Any truth to this?
Q: I saw where Kelly Curtis said that PJ might use that new ticket company "Next Ticketing". The proposed service charges in the newspaper for Next Ticketing are higher than Ticketmaster. Would Pearl Jam still use them?
Q: Would Pearl Jam's tickets have lower fees than that?
Q: I just joined the Ten Club last month, and I have heard from people that you can easily get tickets to PJ concerts, in your area, if you are a member. Can you tell me if this is true?
Q: Is that Dave Krusen, Pearl Jam's original drummer, drumming on the Singles movie soundtrack? |
Please forward and share this Jammy info with other fans. We'll see you in the Pit next time!
