Clapping Hands...

Clap your hands, do the dance of joy, get your tape recorders ready and join Pearl Jam on the road again! Before the kickoff show in Seattle on September 16th, there's a possibility of some warm-up shows. Nothing is definite but we're told it could be a west coast thang. After a single Canadian date in Toronto, Pearl Jam will rock the East Coast and then kickoff the European leg of the tour in Cork, Ireland on October 24th.

The Fastbacks will be opening for Pearl Jam throughout the entire North American and European tour. In addition, Ben Harper will be appearing at Randall's Island in NY, Charlotte, NC, and at Ft. Lauderdale, FL. An official announcement of confirmed venues will be made soon.

Lisbon, Portugal can do some extra dancing because now there's been a second date added on November 24th! After the final show on November 25th, Pearl Jam won't immediately be doing more U.S. shows but South America is still a possibility for shows this winter. More U.S. shows will be coming later.

Guiding Winds...

Here's what you need to know to get your Pearl Jam tickets and yes, they have been designed by the band again this year.

Paid members of the Ten/Vitalogy Health Club as of July 22, 1996 will have a chance to purchase tickets through the club. The flyers with all the important details, are being sent out now. Your order will be limited to two tickets...either two for one show, or one each for two separate shows for any show that's listed on your flyer. U.S. and Canadian members will be able to purchase tickets only for the North American shows. Fan club members who live in Europe will receive their ticket offers for the international shows, and can only purchase tix for those shows. Anyone who does not personally receive a ticket flyer addressed to them will not be able to purchase tix through the fan club. Flyers sent in by non-fan club members will be fed to the Goon.

Pearl Jam tickets are being sold by FT&T. During the first three weeks of August, local radio stations are announcing the details of purchasing tickets through 800 numbers if you are in the area of a scheduled show. They'll give you all the vital info on when the phone lines open and exactly what number to call. Some numbers will be made available to the public via newspapers and radio stations about one week before tickets go on sale. Calls can't be made from cell or pay phones. You cannot place orders for Pearl Jam tickets online but you can visit the FT&T web site to check on your order and other ticket info.

To further protect against scalping, some form of I.D. may need to be presented at venue gates in order to prove those jammy tickets are really yours.
