Waiting, Watching The Clock...In a long and proud tradition, the song remains the same but the timeline keeps changing. With so many eyes fixed on Pearl Jam recently and all the speculation, it may seem impossible to keep up with the frenzy over the new album, single, tour, appearances and just about anything PJ related. As usual, they're in constant motion and there are some very interesting things in the works, but they aren't ready to let all of their cats out of the bag yet so here's what we can tell you...No definite dates for album/single/tour have been announced. The new album? Almost done with a 1998 release date to be announced. No name yet. In PJ-ese, almost done means when it's finished, they'll release it. :) That new single is expected to be released some time this winter. The PJ tour? Still being planned, but now for 1998. How many shows? They want to do "lots" and they're currently thinking about Australia and the U.S. first. That's as firm as it gets right now. When it's time, they'll decide and then hit the road. Pearl Jam will make arrangements with and tour venues that are free to negotiate with their clients about ticketing...alternative ticketers. Let's Spend The Night Together...In case you've been stranded on a deserted island or you've missed all the buzz, Pearl Jam will be getting their ya ya's out by opening for the Rolling Stones on November 14th and 15th in Oakland, California at the Oakland Coliseum. Yes, it's true! Both of these amazing bands will be on the same stage. If additional Stones' dates are added in Oakland, Pearl Jam will be the opener for those too. For fan club members: Tickets to these shows are not available through the Ten Club because it is a Rolling Stones production. You can get your sticky fingers on tickets for the November 14th show when they go on sale on Sunday, October 5th.Around The Bend...If you've been with us right along, you know about some of these upcoming releases.
