Bootleg

Bootlegs, The Kind That Are Good!
Yes, those 25 Pearl Jam Bootlegs from the 2000 European tour are in local record stores now. If you are having a hard time finding a particular show, you can request that your retailer order it for you. Many of you have already ordered the shows online from the Ten Club at www.tenclub.net or www.pearljam.com. If you have questions about those orders, please use the customer service link there.

Yes, Affirmative, Oui, Si...
We're already getting word that bootleggers are bootlegging the NorthAm tour...$40-50 for a single show - you believe that?? Well, here's some great news for those of us who like to collect live shows. There's no need to fork over those hard-earned bucks for some low quality, high-priced bootlegger bootlegs. Both legs of the North American Binaural tour will be released as Pearl Jam Bootlegs as well. No release date has been set yet but we can let you know that they are not scheduled to be out before Christmas.

Speaking of Binaural...
Many have wondered if there will be another single released from Binaural...the answer is no, negative, non. With the Bootleg releases and all, they'll be working instead on a new album for 2001.

Hitting The Road Again...
Pearl Jam's tour will pick up again in Montreal, Canada on October 4th! The warm-up show rumors are false but you'll find the newly added Portland, Sacramento and Fresno dates added to our Tour Date List.

The final leg of the North American tour winds up in Seattle on Nov. 5th and 6th and we're told there will be a "surprise in store" for those hometown gigs.

On other possible tour news: No final decision has been made yet on touring to Australia or South America. They'll decide around the end of the next leg.

On The Side...

  • "Free The West Memphis Three - A Benefit For Truth and Justice" will be released October 10th. You'll find Eddie with the Supersuckers on the X song, "Poor Girl." Other artists include Tom Waits, L7, Zeke, Mark Lanegan and others. See www.aces-eights.com for additional info.
  • "My Favorite Headache," Rush singer-bassist Geddy Lee's first-ever solo album, is scheduled for release on November 14 and will feature the amazing Matt Cameron contributing on drums.
  • "Almost Famous Soundtrack" - Look for Mike McCready's fantastic guitar work on "Fever Dog." Other artists include The Who, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Cat Stevens, Nancy Wilson and many more. wow.

Trying To Make A Difference...
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To show their support and help raise awareness for an important cause, this year Pearl Jam have donated an animation cell from their Do The Evolution video for raffle to The Bra Show fundraising efforts. Good luck if you bid on the many offered items. Your support will be appreciated. See www.thebrashow.org

Would you like to help fight hunger too? The Hunger Site at www.thehungersite.com is the world's first "click-to-donate" site. Just click on the "Donate Free Food" button, and free food is donated by the site's sponsors. A click a day - it's that simple. You can help threefold by also clicking over to The Rainforest site and The Kids AIDS site and clicking on the donate buttons. Those links are in the top right corner of the Hungersite page.

Using Our Voices...
Thank you again to everyone who volunteered for the Voter Registration Call To Action during August. The response was overwhelming and they contacted all the people they needed to staff the voter registration tables on the tour. The deadline for registering to vote in the upcoming U.S. elections is fast approaching so don't forget to register and make your voice heard. If you are going to be out of town for the elections, be sure to check with your state election board about absentee ballots.

Rumors, Rumours, Rumors...

PEARL Rumor: According to an official sheet from Sony in a local record store, the band recommends the following list of Bootleg shows out of the 25 if someone needs a place to start...Wembley 2, Cardiff, Paris, Katowice 2, Verona and Milan. True or False?
JAM Fact: False, although these are very good shows. [Oops, we're sorry about that...someone misunderstood this question and we won't say who... The answer should read: True. -RP]

PEARL Rumor: Although Mike McCready's scenes aren't being used in the new Cameron Crowe movie, "Almost Famous," that is his guitar playing when we hear the lead guitar playing of the fictional band, Stillwater. T/F?

    JAM Fact: False.

~Q&A~Q&A~Q&A~Q&A~
