September 21, 2001 - "America: A Tribute to Heroes"
Eddie Vedder will be appearing in tonight's televised fundraiser "America: A Tribute to Heroes." This live two-hour, commercial-free telethon will air at 9 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. CT, and on tape delay for the Mountain and Pacific time zones and will raise funds for a long-term relief effort for the thousands and thousands of Americans who have directly suffered from the September 11th attacks. America: A Tribute to Heroes will also be simulcast on more than 8,000 radio outlets around the country and webcast on yahoo.com. Internationally, the event is also being offered by broadcasters and cablecasters in 156+ countries around the world. See also www.tributetoheroes.org.
The event will feature a variety of film, music, sports and television stars. So far the list of guests includes: Bon Jovi, Amy Brenneman, Mariah Carey, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Sheryl Crow, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Celine Dion, The Dixie Chicks, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Calista Flockhart, Dennis Franz, Kelsey Grammer, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Enrique Iglesias, Wyclef Jean, Billy Joel, Jane Kaczmarek, Alicia Keys, Limp Bizkit, Willie Nelson, Conan O'Brien, Tom Petty, Ray Romano, Julia Roberts, Paul Simon, Will Smith, Jimmy Smits, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, U2, Sela Ward, Robin Williams, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young.
All funds raised from this program will go to the relief effort, all costs will be underwritten by the networks, and everyone involved will be donating his or her time and resources.

August 23, 2001 - Release Date Announced:
Look for a September 25th Release of the "The Who and Special Guests, Live At the Royal Albert Hall'' on DVD and VHS by Image Entertainment. The program features the November 27, 2000 appearances by Bryan Adams, Noel Gallagher, Kelly Jones, Kennedy, Eddie Vedder and Paul Weller in benefit of the Teenage Cancer Trust. The 2-Disc DVD set includes DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, Rehearsal Footage, Multi-Angle "Pinball Wizard" and more.

He'll be at the San Diego Street Scene 2001, an annual event held over 3 days and featuring over 100 acts on 10 stages. Mike and others will jam with Billy Cox and Buddy Miles (The Band of Gypsies rhythm section) for a Jimi Hendrix tribute sponsored by the Jimi estate. August 7, 2001 - Pearl Jam Concert Announcement:
For the first time, The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations has scheduled the first-ever North American TeleFood event as part of its ongoing global campaign against world hunger. Groundwork 2001 is a week long celebration of community and concerts that will take place in Seattle, Washington from October 14-22.
To close the week-long series of concerts and Groundwork 2001 events, Pearl Jam will be joining other musicians by donating their time to raise awareness and show their support for the fight against World Hunger with a performance at Seattle's Key Arena on Monday, October 22. People across the United States and around the world can also join in by viewing a global satellite television broadcast and by visiting the event web site and virtual stadium at www.groundwork2001.org.
