On Monday, the band made an appearance at Groundwork 2001 at Key Arena in Seattle for the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization. If you missed the Groundwork webcast and weren't able to attend any of the daily concerts, you'll be able to find archived streams of the performances, backstage interviews and photo galleries on the Groundwork2001.org site - to be available for a month. To enjoy the archives, just donate ten dollars for an "All Access Pass." Your generous donation will be helping to relieve world hunger by assisting people in producing food for themselves. Not a bad deal at all. Future broadcast: VH1 will be airing a special on the Groundwork 2001 event during the Thanksgiving holiday season. The Long Road... More about Long Road: We've been receiving many questions about how to find "Long Road" from people who just now found Pearl Jam due to the appearance on the "Tribute to Heroes" telethon. It seems fitting to give these questions special attention. "Long Road" can be found on the Merkinball single (1995), on some of the 2000 tour Pearl Jam bootlegs, on the Dead Man Walking movie soundtrack (1996) with the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The Dead Man Walking Score (1996) also has a beautiful 16 minute version with Nusrat. Long Road is also the first song on the "Pearl Jam: Touring Band 2000" DVD and will be on the upcoming "America: A Tribute to Heroes" benefit CD and DVD. And From New Zealand... 12/17/01- Ten Club Update: 12/1/01- All Tomorrow's Parties rescheduled: 11/29/01- More music: 11/8/01- BRAD to Embark on Special 5-Date West Coast Tour: Includes Stops in Portland, Los Angeles, Hollywood, San Francisco and Seattle Seattle, WA - Brad will kick off a 5-date west coast tour on November 26 at the Roseland Theatre in Portland, then head further south for three California dates before wrapping up in Seattle at the Showbox Theatre on December 2. Revelers will be treated to a taste of Brad's new material along with a medley of old favorites. The group played three sold out shows at Seattle's Breakroom this past September-the first time they had performed live since their 1997 Interiors tour. Upcoming Brad tour dates are as follows: Date/Time Venue/City Ticket Price Formed in Seattle in 1992, Brad is: Since its inception, Brad has released two albums: Shame (Loosegroove, 1993) and Interiors (Epic, 1997); a third studio album is forthcoming--label and release date to be determined. 11/07/01- "America: A Tribute to Heroes" update: New 'Sean Penn and Ed not-a-rumor-this-time' news - Look for Ed covering the Beatles "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" on the upcoming soundtrack for the film, "I Am Sam," starring Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer. The soundtrack is due out January 8 and features various artists such as Ben Harper, Black Crowes, Paul Westerberg, Rufus Wainwright with Sean Lennon, The Wallflowers, Nick Cave and others covering classic Beatles tunes.
