Pearl Jam To Play Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom

March 20, 2000, 3PM EST

Pearl Jam announced today that they will be playing a free club concert at the venerable Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC on Thursday, May 11, 2000. This special club show will be Pearl Jam's first full concert appearance since September of 1998.

The Commodore Ballroom, with its capacity of 1150 people, will be the intimate setting for this free concert. Tickets will be given away exclusively by Vancouver rock station CFOX FM -- no tickets will be sold. Pearl Jam fans should tune in to CFOX at 99.3 FM or log onto www.cfox.com for information on how to win tickets to the show.

This special Commodore Ballroom concert is the first North American concert date to be confirmed since the release of details regarding Pearl Jam's forthcoming disc -- Binaural, their sixth studio offering.

Binaural is set for release in North America on May 23, 2000. The first single from that disc, "Nothing As It Seems", will be serviced to North American radio stations on April 11. The Vancouver show is the only confirmed North American concert to date before the band begins a European tour on May 23 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Pearl Jam is Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder.
