How Am I Supposed To Live Without You
Big-voiced singer/songwriter Michael Bolton was an avid soul and R&B fan who spent the early part of his career trying in vain to become a rock star. His first hint to the contrary was the sizable success of his composition, "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You," for Laura Branigan in 1983. Bolton's eureka finally came in the form of power ballad "That's What Love Is All About," paving the way for his trademark blend of soul, light rock and power ballads. Bolton's own take on the hit he gave to Branigan became his biggest song ever, winning a 1990 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance.
