A delightful musical set in a pajama factory, The Pajama Game neatly wove the tale of an old-fashioned love affair between the head of the labor union and the factory's handsome new manager. Created by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, who had previously written Damn Yankees, the show yielded several hit tunes, including "Hey, There," in which the new manager discovers he has fallen in love, and "Hernando's Hideaway," the name of a night club where the factory workers sometimes go to unwind. The Pajama Game had a run of 1,063 performances following its Broadway premiere on May 13, 1954, and won the Tony for Best Musical. From The Pajama Game; (R. Adler/J.
