Led by Seattle sisters Ann (lead singer) and Nancy (guitarist) Wilson, Heart joined Portrait Records in 1977 after much pop-metal success with their independent label-released debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Their next album, Little Queen, promptly went platinum on the strength of "Barracuda," a riff-rocker extraordinaire which hit #11 on the charts and has gone on to become a classic rock standard. Still actively touring, Heart has enjoyed a longevity and continued commercial success that few artists can boast of.
