BENTLEY TO PERFORM ON U.C.P TELETHON
First Television Performance of "Hopechest Song"
(Nashville, Tennessee . . .) -- Stephanie Bentley has been tapped to perform on the opening night of the United Cerebral Palsy Telethon, UCP Star Fest '97, this Saturday, January 18 at Nashville's famed Wildhorse Saloon. She will perform an acoustic version of her touching new single, "The Hopechest Song," the title cut from her debut album.
"This is a song that anyone can relate to who's ever been a little girl, had a little girl or known a little girl," said Stephanie. " It made me cry the first time I heard it at the Bluebird Cafe. I told (songwriter) Angela Kaset that 'I would love to have that song on my album'. I'm excited about doing the song on the Telethon."
Stephanie will perform the song at approximately 11:45 p.m. Central. WKRN, Channel 2 will carry the event locally in Nashville
