  • MUSIC IS IN TOWN: SONY BMG celebrates the MTV Europe Music Awards

Munich, October 19, 2007. – Top artists, big names from showbiz, business, media and politics, and SONY BMG managers from Germany and around the world will be getting together to celebrate the presentation of the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich on November 1. The SONY BMG After Show Party is supported by Premium Sponsors MINI and Sony Ericsson. The hottest SONY BMG artist in the running for the coveted Music Awards is Justin Timberlake with a total of four nominations, closely followed by Beyoncé, Avril Lavigne, the Foo Fighters, Evanescence, Christina Aguilera, Good Charlotte and Bushido.

The Kesselhaus in Munich, with its spectacular ambience, is the venue on the night of November 1 for the party of the year, at which more than 600 guests are expected. The warm-up will begin at eight o’clock with the live transmission of the Music Awards from the Olympiahalle.
The atmosphere in the Kesselhaus will really reach boiling point after 11 p.m. when more high-calibre guests make their way from the Olympiahalle to the city’s currently most-wanted party location to celebrate a good number of Music Awards for SONY BMG. The guests will be shuttled by MINI. In cooperation with SONY BMG, MINI is giving the event extensive support – notably with its shuttle service for guests, for which it is providing 25 MINI Clubman vehicles. At the party Sony Ericsson, sponsor of the MTV EMAs since 2006, will present its newest music telephone, the W910i Walkman® Phone. Alongside the W910i with its new Shake Control feature will be DJs delivering the beats that keep the party crowd fired up.
The Kesselhaus party also enjoys the support of Electronic Arts (EA), Campari, Becks and Talbot Runhof. EA will be presenting a world premiere: three weeks before the actual release, the latest part of the “Need for Speed” game series will get an exclusive showing. Drinks will be of the finest thanks to Campari/SKYY Vodka and Becks. Fashion highlights will come from Munich designer label Talbot Runhof.
