- US House Passes CROWN Act That Would Ban Race-Based Hair Discrimination
- Sep 21, 2020
Sony Music Group is proud to support HR 5309, the CROWN (Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair) Act and applauds the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the legislation that would provide legal protection against discrimination based on natural and race-based hairstyles – all across the country. As a global entertainment company, SMG prioritizes an equitable and inclusive environment for everyone and strives to create a safe, healthy work environment where diversity is celebrated. The CROWN Act is a basic human rights measure that will provide protection for millions of Americans. We urge the U.S. Senate to pass the bill.
